OMM and Windows 7.

So I just got Oblivion for my computer as I tried to run the Morrowind overhaul project but ended having to scale back evrything to the point of redundancy, so I figured seeing my rig doesn't have the nuts to run the Morrowind overhaul on full specs with fluid FPS then I should migrate to Oblivion as it utilizes hardware a lot better.
So I can run Oblivion on ultra high specs with fluid FPS so I though I would give some mods a try.
I have experience with modding Morrowind so this is familiar territory in some regard, but not in others........:P
So I read the FAQ and while I haven't tried to create an OBM yet, I wanted to check on some thing first.
I did install out of program files but is there anything else I have to worry about with OMM functioning correctly?
I have read in places the UAC causes some issues, so if that's the case I was wondering how to disable it primarily for OMM or Oblivion altogether.
I have the basic mods like unoffical patches, official mods, better gold, hgec bodies, natural enviroments, eqippable beards and script and graphics extenders.
The big one that really grabbed my interest was the Deadly reflex mod which is primarily why I need to know about OMM, but I'm sure I will need it later for other things......
AMD Athlon™ II X2 220 Processor 2.8GHz, Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition (build 7600), 64-bit, ATI Radeon HD 4200, 6 GB RAM.
Can't think of anything else to mention........
Anyone have any suggestions for me?
All helpful advice would be greatly appreciated!

Installing the games into a separate directory fixes the UAC problem. Oblivion Mod Manager is a very good utility for anyone beginning thier modded Oblivion experience, since most mods are easily converted into OMOD's.
If your PC had problems with the Morrowind overhaul, You will have issues with modded Oblivion too, You will reach a point where you will have to choose between graphics and stability, I chose stability.
My advice is to learn to use BOSS to sort mods as soon as possible, and use the BOSSlog for the hints and tips.
Take advantage of tools and utilities like OBSE and OBSE plugins, Streamline, and read about Wrye Bash and BAIN.

Thanks so much!
:D
I think Deadly Reflex and the basics is all I'm going to worry about for now but if I want to start adding more mods I will most certainly research the resources you provided.
Thanks again!
