gifts from the gods

In oblivion there are numerous items that you can get by completing quest that are made by the gods, what items would you want to get in skyrim that are made by the gods, maybe some shoes that you can levitate with because there are a lot of steep clifts in skyrim, the ideas are endless and the mythology goes beyond time, what would you like to see?

maybe some deadric armor made by one of the deadra lords that regains health as you kill foes, so kind of like with their blood.

Well if Skyrim doesn't have daedric quests then it would be the first main TES game to not have them.

Also to others in this thread, many of the artifacts in the games were from previous games and they are chronicled http://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Artifacts.

If anything, I hope Umbra comes back and as a long sword again.

I would love to see more artifacts like Wabbajack.

Getting an artifact like that or the Skull of Corruption is MUCH preferable to simply getting a powerful sword, and will be valued by the player for much longer.

Let me give an example of a new artifact they could introduce:

Since we know there is blacksmithing, and probably mining as well, (the two tend to go hand in hand, but then again not always...),
an artifact called the Staff of Midas that could transmute iron bars to gold bars would be incredibly interesting.

And it would be an awesome shoutout to the creator of "Midas Magic", one of the best mods for Oblivion, and my personal favorite mod that I had the pleasure of playing. Which, while we're on the subject, brings me to another point: Bethesda, in a recent interview you said that almost no ideas or implementations in Oblivion mods were considered whilst making Skyrim - which I find disappointing. There were a myriad of mods that made improvements to Oblivion - many players on pc refuse to play it without mods, in fact. So clearly there's something of worth to the fanbase in that direction - perhaps worth considering. That being said, Skyrim sounds amazing.

Anway, I digress. The Staff of Midas is just one idea of many that could be implemented. Now that Jygallag is back, we could very well see a Daedric Artifact from him - and hopefully not just an uber sword. A Crystal Staff which summons Knights of Order for a time, perhaps.

Yes! Umbra is a bad-a sword! I hope it is a longsword as well with a dark, nordic style beauty to it!

How many different versions of this thread do we need?

While I'm here.

Daedric crescent, and spear of bitter mercy (it'll be the only useable spear in game muahah).

Indeed and my respect for it was already massive and it got even greater after reading "The Infernal City". Wounding a daedric prince so badly and taking part of his power? Just awesome.

Yes, that's the point of mods, to improve upon things. Also, the key phrase here is "made improvements to Oblivion" Also, it seems like a lot of people "refuse" to play it without mods but the truth of the matter is that it really is just a small but vocal group that says that and 10:1 says they played the game just fine without mods and enjoyed it but then decided to complain when they finally got bored.

They took example from the ranged mod and they made Skyrim's magic more like Bioshock plasmids. That's damn good imo. I really don't have any other mod in mind that should be in vanilla Skyrim except the ranged mod frankly.

Haha, I was reading this thread and thinking; Azuras star, Umbra and Hircines hide (saviour vest) and then I remembered the rings and necklaces.

They look lame and have a tiny interaction in the game compared to the weapons but by gods how great are they really. The amount of times I have been running through Cyrodiil and have been bitten by a rat, cat, dog, bear you name it and I have turned around just to watch them hit me again..... and kill themselves. Rats are the funniest.

So I would like to see.

Ring of Namira deflect 100% damage and spells (I jest)

P.s. Goldbrand defiantly has to make an appearance. With all that Dragon protector stuff

The Aedra used up most of their power creating Mundus (or something to that effect) and as such, manifest themselves on that plane far less often. I suppose they could give away artifacts if they wished, but it seems that they lack the energy required to show themselves to mortals and do that sort of thing.

Ring of Namira, and keep it low level as in OB, and the Ebony Blade, and might sound a bit odd, but would love to find the Birthright of Astalon still knocking around after 200 years, know it's not god-given, but why the hell not.
