Sword dual wielding..

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 2:36 am

So I've been a quick re-reading of articles again, and can't seem to find them speaking off sword or dagger duel wielding...

We can do it,correct? Paranoia setting in here! :P

Yup, we can pretty much dual wield anything we want that doesn't take up two hands (ie claymores or bows).

You have two hands to equip with any weapon, spell or shield in the game.

Unless they're two handed weapons. Maybe you can, though, we haven't been told.

But yes, you can dual wield a lot of different combinations.

What about two shields ? Perfect defense and staggering possibility. Defend - Bash - weapon change - SLASH !

Is it just me ?

Tbh, I doubt we'll be able to dual-wield two longswords, maybe a long- and a shortsword, But two longswords seems a bit over the top to me.

Nonsense, dual wielding two longsword will be intense. It's not even unrealistic.

i would like to dual wield an axe MH and a mace Offhand. i like to stand out of the crowd. everyone uses swords and it pisses me off that they go w/ what everyone else uses. if you think about it axe+mace > 2 swords.
some axes even have a spike on top for impaling tagets.
so, axes can impale (if w/ a spike)/slash targets just like a sword. and they should do more dmg but swing a little slower.
maces do blunt dmg which is good for unarmored targets or to knock targets off balance etc. they should do the MOST dmg since they should be the SLOWEST.
IMO having a variety of dmg types is better overall than just SLASH/IMPALE damage. it also looks MUCH kooler and more barbaric. :D

The Nord in the background of this very forum is dual wielding swords.

I mean, he's http://www.gamesas.com/images/smilie/games/elderscrolls/elderscrolls-background3.jpg.

Call me crazy but that looks like a sword / dagger combo to me. I own a United States Marine corps KABAR knife and it's about the size of the smaller weapon in this scene!
