Creatures that hunt confirmed!

What other game has this system!?!?!?!?

STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl has wild dog packs(Sometimes with a mutated pseudodog leading them). If they kill something, you can observe them dragging it back to their territory. They'd also warn you if you started to get too close to their territory by barking and growling before they attacked.

In every ecosystem, there must be a lowliest animal/insect/creature that gets eaten the most. What will it be in Skyrim?

I could swear this was announced long ago, nevertheless a good feature.

Creatures that hunt and eat their prey is awesome..I'd like to know how a wolf pack is gonna bring down a mamoth!? Must be some big ole wolves in Skyrim! Maybe they can grab him by the trunk and lasso his legs with it!

Maybe they are scavenging off an already dead corpse, there was one picture that showed wolves trying to eat a dead corpse that looked like a chained slave... Also that I'm almost certain that bear was scavenging in that pic because the mammoths tusk was covered with snow, so I wonder if dragons hunt and take them out?

They do to an extent, if a cougar spawns within an area to a non-hostile creature/ a weaker creature it will hunt and there is an animation for animals eating eachother. I know the latter through hunting a wolf pack and awhilst skinning them a fox spawned but I wasn't aware of this until I turned round to skin the final wolf , but the fox was feasting upon it :o scary stuff

This was only announced on Monday. It may've been mentioned on a podcast, or Bethblog or something, but Im pretty sure it wasn't truly, "announced" this widespread, like it was this monday...

RDR absolutely has this, and every single one of the STALKER games had this implemented to an ever greater extent than RDR.

In STALKER, packs of wild dogs use really impressive AI to take out mutated pigs, NPCs roaming the wasteland, predators, and the player character. They guard the corpses, protect their territory, use genuine pack tactics (splitting up, coordinating their strikes, etc.), and "eat" the corpses too (they go through an animation but the corpse doesn't disappear).

Not belittling the fact that a similar system will be in Skyrim, by the way-- quite the contrary. It'll fit in perfectly.
