[RELz] Soulgem Magic

This sounds handy but is there a way to disable the multi-soulgems part?
As omeletted wrote, you control it from Soulgem Magic's own ini file. You can choose between three main modes for filling the soulgems:
1. As normal
2. Also a restriction of not allowing too small souls in the soulgems
3. Allow multiple smaller souls to fill up one larger soulgem

Another feature I wouldn't mind seeing..... Is have a preference available for filling empty gems first, or, adding to a not-quite filled gem first. :D
I guess you know there are two options now, either to fill up the smallest first, or the largest first - which is quite close to what you suggest in practice. If this don't fit exactly what you want, detail your wish and I will at least look at it :)

While I am at it..... (sorry....) an ability to combine soul gems? So that you can make things with more uses before empty?
I could possibly make an option for auto-combining of soulgems (with the same rules as the auto-combining of souls into a larger soulgem), but will not add an interface for choosing soulgems to combine. But I can look into how difficult auto-combining would be if you think that would be useful...

Can you also have a look at including the Mages Guild soul gems you can get for free with OOO? They are different objects to vanilla soul gems, and their value shouldn't increase no matter what soul(s) they contain, but it would be nice to have them 'stack' souls like vanilla gems.
Adding the functionality I have added for the vanilla gems will probably be very simple, but then a side effect of that will be that the price will change depening on the contained soul, anything else will probably be more complicated than I have time for...

Thinking a bit more... how does the calculation of the soul gem's value work? Is it (soul gem value) x (soul value)? If so, it'll work, because the base value of these gems is 1 gold.

But, if you sell them, the mages guild becomes rather upset...... and tosses you out on your ear.

For filling gems... Let me see if I can detail this clearly....

Say I am off and about dungeon stomping, I have one level 1 (petty) soul gem, and four level 2 soul gems. (lesser?) The way it works now, kill a rat, the petty gets filled, kill another rat, a lesser gets filled, kill yet another rat, and ANOTHER less gets filled. What I would like to have happen, is on the third rat, it adds the soul to the already existing lesser soul gem, that only has a petty soul in it.

Make sense?

For combining.... currently I am just adding multiples of the same enchantment with a small magnitude to an item, via advanced magecraft, and then merging similar. This works, but, can be tedious. What I would like to be able to do, is take two Grand Soul Gems, with grand souls in them...... and combine them to end up with a soul gem with a soul value of 5200, (the base value in my game for a GSG with a G soul is 2600)

Thoughts?

No calculation at all. The value of pre-filled soul gems are set in the CS (and adjusted by some mods). Soulgem Magic simply replaces the ones you fill by the pre-filled of correct capacity and level.

Yes, and so far you have written an example of how soulGemMode 7 works :)

I see, but that's something that cannot be done by just soulgem manipulation, since the existing soul gem capacities is all there is.

So this sounds more difficult to do than I'm prepared to try...

Ooops, read the readme, didn't pay close enough attention to the comments in the ini file. Cool :D

As for combining soul gems.... Use a container, that the PC's soul gems get dumped into, (maybe a 'fake' merchant, that only deals in soul gems?) player then selects whatever gems he/she wishes to combine, and 'sells' them, or what have you. The gems to be combined are removed from the container, and replaced with maybe the azura's star mesh, and soul value set to the combined values of gems that were used to create it? I believe OBSE already has the functionality to do so.
