Question about MMM

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 8:27 am

Maybe I missed something in the description, maybe not. Anyway, I was going to go get this to use alongside OOO, but it said I needed the Unofficial Mods Patch to use it...it actually says that under Required mods. So I run off to get it only to find out it isn't what I thought, but for Wizard's Tower and the like. Anyhow, I have zero interest in getting those at the moment (hell, I didn't even really know they existed until I went to get this mod), so onto my question, do I need those to run MMM or can I run it fine without the official plugins, and of course, skipping over the Unofficial Mods Patch since I don't have the stuff it patches? Anyway, I apologize if this is a stupid question, I'm thinking I probably just missed something, but I've read over it several times and not seen anything confirming I need to use them.

You can run it fine without official plugins, only that if you have them you should use the unofficial DLC patch for them. (I only have Shivering Isles, no other DLC or unofficial mods patch, running it all fine)

There are different unofficial patches. are you sure it wanted unofficial MODS patch, OR "unofficial oblivion patch". the later fixes 1800 things in Oblivion and everyone should run that one.

Differant patches.....
UOP= Unofficial Oblivion Patch (everyone needs this) and (the supplemental also).
UOMP= Unofficial Mods Patch
USIP= Unofficial Shivering Isle Patch

Edit: Just checked the MMM thread...
RECOMMENDED INSTALL ORDER:
Unofficial Oblivion Patch
Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch (if applicable)
DLC's + Patches (if applicable)

Yep...UOP
So UOP and then IF you have SI get that Patch and IF you have Official DLC that is different again.

I already have Unofficial Oblivion and Unofficial Shivering Isles for the Unnecessary Violence mod. I just wanted to know if I needed the official plugins to use MMM, and Mystery confirms I can run it fine without the official plugins, so my mystery is solved. Thanks for clearing it up.
