Mods which I'm using. Any which would compliment these?

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 3:02 am

I'm just gonna put a list of mods I'm using. Are there any mods whatsoever for female NPCS with varying height/weight/bust/bodies? Same for males. Would be far better for immersion instead of all NPCs from various races to be a predefined height or body-type. More Diversity type mod.
This list includes some "mature" mods. No links to them obviously. Grabbed most from TESNexus.
How about mods for various textures which are based more on Bethesdas ones, which keeps the original look but higher resolution of course, are out there? I already have a few for various doors, road signs, merchant signs and such. How about ones for banners, objects, crates, barrels and etcetera but more in-lore/immersive/non game breaking?

So I have seen screenshots of various CM Companion type mod NPCs with varying heights/bosy-types and bust sizes. Can I do the same for already in-game NPCs or would I have to make a mod for that? I'd just like some more variety for the NPCs of course. Just keep them the way they are including age/facial stuff but changing other variables. Anything for neck seams?
Right now I'm looking for better doors, more flora, possibly birds and other minute but better for immersive type game-play. No, I don't use the anime/JRPG/loli type crap at all.

Thanks for the suggestions!

So I'm going with modding furniture now. Any suggestions? I've already added more armour, weapons, clothing, etc. to the game. Would be nice to make all the interior cells looking nice. Of course knowing my mod usage habits it's usually a bulk of a particular set i.e. doors, then other things.
I'm still looking for a more immersive, all- NPCs have varied body types. I mean all share the same body, for the particular races, but not body types? C'mon that's just lazy. Anything for better flora and fauna?

Also more looking lovely which compliments the above image would be nice.

I think Reneer made a mod that changes NPC body shapes. I also saw a post on Wrye Bash yesterday of someone making a mod to change body shapes based on age and six IIRC.

Oh that'd be better compared to all NPCs also using DMRA BBB like my female Dunmer character. Would it be very character specific too for the latter mod?
I've also been reading there's a mod for mannable/sailing boats. Would be very nice. Probably would need other mods for docks and such. I mean why have boats when you can't sail them?

Don't know specifics about the body mods, just remembered. Reneer's is here http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29564
The latter one is in development I think. Check out the Wrye Bash Thread http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1160924-relz-wrye-bash-thead-59/page__st__100__p__17079416#entry17079416

Reneer also made a sailing ship mod http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16742

I think there are other sailing mods available, just do a search on tesnexus.

Oh wow thanks!

Are there any total conversion mods using OBLIVION as a basis, of course tweaked, for DAGGERFALL? Would be nice if Bethesda actually made a DVD-ROM for both ARENA and DAGGERFALL which would be fully supported by XP/Vista/7. DOSBox is a hassle and since I haven't used it in many years, I've almost forgotten how to use it.
So how about the mods for added areas off the map? I couldn't even get those to work for some reason. Yes, I want the available map to explore to be ENORMOUS. No invisible walls, able to traverse the entire planet with hundreds upon hundreds of quests.
Maybe for TES VI we'll get that instead of SKYRIM. But looks like for that alot of the places would be broken up by huge cells to break up loading times. How large, in square miles, is DAGGERFALL compared to MORROWIND and OBLIVION? An overlapping map type image would be great. Why? Because I love exploring in both MORROWIND+TRIBUNAL+BLOODMOON and OBRIVION+KotN+Shivering Isles. Why not some added areas mods which would be treated the same way, filetype and set-up, as the added areas expansions/DLC?

What you want to do is go to tesnexus and browse categories for new land

There is Elsewyr, Skyrim, Vanderfall, Valenwood (German but I think there is an English translation)
Nehrim is a whole new world
Windfall is a whole new world (very popular)
You definitely want the Unique landscapes mods

So do I need anything first before I install those so they'd work this time? If those increases the map several times so I can explore more, [censored] YES! Well, more of what I can do so they can work and not crash to desktop like before. Certain order for them so they don't conflict with each other?

Some of them are not entirely complete and come with a bunch of files. You have to read the readme that comes with it. The there might be a need for compatability patches.

Windfall works without anything, works out of the box, try that first.
Nehrim takes a bit of setting up as it is a separate game from Oblivion though it uses some of the same things. They have a thread so look in there.
The others will take some work to set up so look at thhe descriptions.

I gave up on Nehrim and other types of "expand the map" mods. svcks I've been banned from The Nexus. Been a member there since 2007. Never should've joined the forums and chat. There goes one outlet for uploading mods I'll be working on in the future.
Post #2 is the Tolkien Elves race mod.

Pretty sure that link above will get you a warn/ban here....Could be wrong rules may have changed.

Just gonna take about 10-20 years to fill all this up!

HOLY FRAKMONEY THAT'S AWESOME! Is it the entire map you can explore? How long does loading take?
Oh and if a mod or admin reads this thread, they're more than welcome to PM me about the links I have. I did post a warning before I put them here. Both are NSFW 18+ with more nudity comparison to porm. Yes there's a difference between the two.
The forum is just a reserve site. The "scenery porm" I take it is fine, escpecially trees and such. The Lord of the Rings film Trilogy had plenty of scenery porm and it's the main cause I'm wanting to vacation to New Zealand.

Thanks and I will. Any recommendations for better water? I'm still wanting to add the same variety of beasties in thwe water the same as how Morrowind was set-up instead of only mudcrabs and slaughterfish. I want to fight insanely huge creatures similar to the one in the image. Or more elaborately designed creatures from nightmares.

I was playing around with the heightmaps and it was pretty wild, mostly just a bunch of empty space but it would be amazing if modders could populate the landscape and build a ship network to travel across all of Tamriel. Of course I think even a professional development team like Bethesda itself would take years to fill a map of that size and come up with a comprehensible story which is why I think they focus on smaller world maps.

Why not just have a team of modders work on Morrowind? All they'd need to do is move everything to Oblivion, update it per the however gap of time between games and adjust it accordingly?

Return to IV - Oblivion
