Honestly, they never did that, it was just a less detailed version of the place you're already in. You can see it on the map on UESP. I mean would you rather an odd emptinessat the edge? It should feel like you're in Tamriel, not Skyrim floating in the middle of nothing.

I could see maybe getting a whipping. I know scarring is a fable thing but it would be a severe punishment. And I'm sure the friendly neighborhood magic guild would be happy to heal it for you, or maybe you could do it yourself.

By that, guys, try to think of something for the request list..

Such as factions, expanded mage/warriors guilds etc..

Trial by combat
Mutually exclusive guilds/factions, especially regarding loyalists and rebels in the civil war
Bard's guild, with speechcraft/politics/information gathering rather than fighting/sneaking/spellcasting
Crafting benches and Alchemy labs, in dungeons as well as towns or player homes
Something similar to doomstones or wayshrines hidden out in the wilderness
