The Dragon Break - Mod, dead?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 12:12 am

Roughly two years ago, the "Dragon Break" mod was announced on these forums. It was about to add three new joinable factions and loads of new content to the game, including the Imperial Library and the Hogithum Hall. The mod looked to be in a pretty advanced stage of development with videos of the buidlings and the new, voice-acted characters being showcased in videos on youtube.

Does anyone know what happened to the mod?

To me, it seemed to be the most ambitious project besides "Reclaiming Sancre Tor", so I'm curious to know what happened to it. Any information?

Its been shelved for quite a while now. Astion is a working professional, doesn't really have much time for modding anymore.

I vaguely recall a mod with that name being announced as a WIP. What exactly was it about? An actual "Dragon Break", or just like the usual knightly legion/aktosh/monk type stuff? Integration has like4-5 joinable guilds and one of the sort of major plot points has to do with a Dragon Break anda lot of other lore references.

Thanks for the information, Lady Nerevar. Quite a shame that such an ambitious project was most likely abandoned :(

@phoenix1213: Since Astion was active at the Imperial Library, the main purpose of the mod was to add lore-related content that should have had something to do with the Dragon Break. Moreover, the new factions were all lore-friendly. As far as I recall, Morag Tong agents, the Imperial Librarians and a faction dedicated to Azura were planned.
