Forgive me if this has been asked and/or answered before, but is it possible to have an unequipped hand?

Like can I have a short sword in one hand and nothing in the other hand? Or do both hands always have to be equipped with something?

Also for two handed weapons, particularly the bow, can I pick the handedness (right or left) of my character?

And last, has hand to hand been removed?

No one knows yet. I assume that unarmed combat still remains, but it may not be lethal.

You probably can; almost certainly actually. It would be kind of weird to not have the most basic form of combat and how would it work if you don't have a weapon or a spell.
