Special ways to kill vampires and werewolves?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 1:20 am

Dont you guys think it would be better in Skyrim that to kill a vampire or werewolf you would have to kill them a certain way? For example to kill a vampire, instead of like Oblivion where you just killed him like a normal enemy, you would either have to do the following things,

1. Bring him into the sunlight somehow
2. Stab him with a stake in the heart
3. Break into their cave when they are asleep and poison their blood drink with garlic
4. Bring them into a church
5. torture them with religious artifacts
6. Tie them up and let the adoring fan do the dirty work. XD

Those are some ideas. For werewolves some ideas are,

1. A silver arrow to the heart
2. A clean shot on the head
3. Poison them with a wolfs bane plant
4, Wait till they are in human form when they are weaker.
5. Damage , bleeding from the head and or heart.

Leave a comment on what you guys think. Thanks

well i think it would be cool if there was like a scripted quest with a vampire, like someone would tell you there is a vampire hiding in town you find him (preferably at day) you fight and like you cant kill it or sumthing but then when hes stunned or dizzy (FINISH HIM xD) you like throw him out the window into the sunlight or stab him with halbergs wooden end( pointy if possible but with enuff str you could stab him with a blunt end too xD)

I like the idea, as werewolves and vampires shouldn't be so easy to kill.

Stakes, garlic, chapels, and religious artifacts don't seem to bother any previous strains of vampires in Tamriel before. Stabbing in the heart works with any object, though, and I think that garlic is one of the misinformed ideas of the people of Tamriel, as you can see garlic hanging around certain areas to ward off vampires, but if the player is a vampire, he/she can eat garlic with no adverse effects. The player can also enter chapels and handle religious artifacts with no negative consequence.

I could definitely see Arkay having an artifact or two designed specifically for warding off or killing vampires.

Or maybe the Skyrim vampires will surprise us and be vastly different from the ones we've seen before.

I agree only that silver weapons should do bonus damage to both, Like using fire on a troll & fire should also do bonus to vampires but to the rest; No, It would not be be a good idea. Most of the crap for vampires on your list is old christian retoric which is not applicable to the Elder Scrolls lore. Churches aren't blessed or anything, http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Attack_on_Chapel_Anvil + there are always ghosts & phantoms in the undercrofts so yeah no holy protection to speak off whatsoever.

Edit > Furthur proof vampires not affected by chapels. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Immortal_Blood

lol

i think extra damage with silver weapons/ weakness to fire is enough.

the rest is... well.. silly. Not to mention ridiculously hard to implement in any realistic fashion, in this game.

In oblivion didn't the vampire in the dark brotherhood say that most vampires are unaffected by garlic, but that he had an allergy to it or something? That's just what I thought I remembered about, could be way off.

It would be cool if werewolves could only be taken out by a finishing move with a silver weapon. And vampires....well, just throw a piece of garlic at them.
