What I want Included in ESV

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 7:09 am

What I want to see in Skyrim:

1. Mod tools at least comparable to TES Construction Set.

Bethesda has always supported their modders above and beyond the call of duty, and I would love to see that continued. Mods were the best part about Morrowind and Oblivion, the fact that you could add things that you wanted to your gameplay experience and remove that which you didn't like. If the modding tools are removed, I will be extremely angry with you Bethesda... and you won't like me when I'm angry (sry guys, go ahead and throw your tomatoes.)

2. Vikings.

Norse culture is always something that I've wanted to learn more about, but never got around to. It all seemed pretty bad ass, and with good reason: Viking *ARE* bad ass. From what I've seen in the trailers, those Nords are going to be a helluva bunch. I want them to drain mead tankards while they sail their longboats to pillage the coast of Morrowind or something. Perhaps we can have a raid side-quest where we can visit a city from another ES game or something, but instead of visiting we burn the whole thing to the ground and pillage?

3. Dragons.

If you're going to put in dragons, don't think your going to get away with not including pets. I want a dragon for a pet. When my neighbors dog wont shut up at 3AM, and I am trying to fall into my mead induced stupor until morning, I want to be able to say "shut that stupid mutt up dragon". Then I want to wake up the next morning with a pile of ashes in my neighbors yard. Not only that, dragons are [censored] awesome. Do you think some highwaymen are going to [censored] with me if I swoop in riding a dragon? I didn't think so. Perhaps there can be some cave in the top of some mountain that is a known dragon roost or something. One that can only be reached by flying or something, and inside is a dragon egg or something. Raising my pet dragon from an egg will be far more rewarding to me than just capturing a live one or something, hopefully I can tame a live one too. That would be interesting as well.

3 ( b ). Pets in general

Yea, I would like to be able to tame any creature. From wolves or mountain tolls, to mudcrabs or rats. Hell, throw in some eagles or hawks as well. Birds are bad ass.

4. Vampires.

The vampire clans and factions were great in Morrowind. Bring them back for Skyrim. The Oblivion vampire clans were non-existent and being one was so boring it made me fall asleep, dream about how boring the vampires were, and then bore myself awake. I don't want no sparkly vampire either, they need to be evil carnivorous death machines driven by a natural lust for blood that if left unchecked, will eventually overpower their humanity.

5. Werewolves.

see vampire section except I don't see werewolves being in clans so much as packs. Perhaps some in the cities who struggle with being werewolves and try to continue with their normal lives, a clandestine group of werewolves who want to turn everyone else into werewolves and take over the humans, and wild ones who have abandoned humanity completely.

You should have state sponsored werewolf hunters who hunt wild ones and ones that are trying to live as werewolves in secret. There should probably also be a state sponsored place where registered werewolves, people who are infected but want to live normal lives, can come every full moon and be locked in a room or something.

6. Necromancers

I want to have to have the option to become a necromancer. It's a viable character choice I think, and one that should definitely be included.

7. Dorfs

I am not an ES lore buff, but I know that the Dwemer are basically dead. Can we get a dwemer ruin or something like those in Morrowind? Hopefully there might be something even cooler than ruins like, the last dwemer city or something. Look at DAO or Dwarf Fortress for dwarves done right.

7. Dorfs

why do you want http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEig1D4sJdI in the game? seems a bit unrealistic to TES.

I truly believe that dwarves should be in ESV. I know they are extinct, but what if there was a hidden city in a mountain or something where the dwarves have thrived and repopulated. I love dwarves and I don't see why they were wiped out in the first place. It's something that annoyed me in ES4, and I hope there will be a second coming for the time of the Dwarf!!!

- The Creation Kit will be better than the Construction Kit.
- Skyrim is all about Nord culture.
- There is a dragon shout that allows one to call a dragon to his/her aid.
- If screen shots are any indication, dogs (like dog meat in Fallout 3) may be companions.
- Transformations (ie werewolves and vampires) are currently being tested and may or may not make it into the game.
- No word, but it has been asked for as an option (a faction at least) many times before.
- There will be dwenmer ruins in Skyrim (look at the last scene with the assassin in the official trailer).

You forgot to mention transport-able bedrolls that would eliminate looking for a random one or going back into town to sleep. You could just sleep out in the wilderness.

Well their disappearance is shrouded in mystery. They didn't die out. They vanished.

6. is the only thing i agree with you on, we already know that the construction set is comparable. i want to be a necromancer.

Vikings? Pillaging and burning? how do those 2 add up? Vikings were more of the... merchant/farmer types. mass media just decided to translate them a little differently because history put them down into books kindof like pirates. they were really polite too you know, if i stay at someones house of course i can sleep with the daughter or the wife too. if someone slept with my wife without my permission of course i'd have to sever his head, thats just natural too. and if a sheep dies, i'll eat every last part of it, skin to bone-marrow. those were a bit sacred creatures here. then we also bought slaves as wives. that was good times :)

Thank You! They didn't die, they vanished. So there always is a chance that some Dwarves survived!

What I want to see in Skyrim:

1. Hot springs occupied by fat hairy Nords. Nothing screams "Skyrim" more to me than bathing in the greasy filth oozing off Vikings.

2. Huge cliff-racer drumsticks that I can eat and use to pummel my enemies. Nothing is more Viking than killing enemies with your morning snack.

3. A huge trampoline so I can bounce up to the top of the Throat of the World, and not have to walk up 7000 steps.

4. The arch enemy of the Greybeards are the Greypubas.

5. Big fluffy pink earmuffs so my ears don't get frostbite.

6. A sketch artist who will draw the contorted faces of my dying victims, so I can print them out, frame them and put them on my wall.

Do you know anything about the lore? The disappearance of the Dwarves is one of the coolest things in TES lore, and was a big part of Morrowind. Not to mention how it actually happened was awesome, and the mystery of what actually happened to them as they disappeared is something that still bugs me.

WHERE DID THEY GO?

And yes, one was still alive in Morrowind, but is most likely dead in Skyrim. I'll browse the UESP for information and PM all the cool things about the dwarves to you if you want.

And TC is definitely misusing the word badass. Vikings: badass. Birds: NOT badass.

Yeah of course! I think its gotta be something that Bethesda play upon later. I mean, you meet the one dwarf in Morrowind, who looks after the corprus for Divayth Fyr. I can't remember what he said about their disappearance, but they have to have gone somewhere. Hopefully it's skyrim. Who knows.

I'm glad that they have some Dwemer stuff in Skyrim though. Like the spheres and stuff. Should be interesting.

TRIIIIIIPLE FACEPALM C-C-C-COMBO-BO-BO

I agree with the whole necromancer and vampire/werewolf thing though. It would add so much gameplay for me personally.

They're definitely not in Skyrim. Skyrim's right next to Morrowind, and in the Dwemer ruins in Morrowind you could find Dwemer armor and weapons with ash all over and around them, implying they were reduced to ash. There are theories that they were transported to other realms or faraway lands though.

Personally, I think they were just straight up annihilated.
