Skyrim's Influence

Which game will Skyrim be more influenced by, Morrowind or Oblivion? (Keyword: "Will")

Which game should it be more influenced by? (Keyword: "Should")

Personally, I think it should be more similar to Morrowind. I felt Morrowind had a sense of wonder - everything was different and really felt like a fantasy world. I was immersed in it because it captivated the senses by essentially taking us to a new world. I could venture through the several regions and explore the many towns. I could go to Dren Plantation, and if I was strong enough, get that Daedric Dai Katana. This was never possible in Oblivion. Oblivion felt too repetitive. The cities were basically carbon copies, voice acting ruined several stages, and the world felt to much like a world where it had a medieval setting; something that we are used to. The armor was usually the same, level-scaling made finding good armor practically impossible, and noobified game mechanics like the Skeleton Key (which when compared to Morrowind is far to easy to use) really made the game worse. The only plus point from Oblivion I have was the combat system, and the Shivering Isles expansion.
