perks vs attributes

I really do not mean to anger, but if you found that you had some sort of 'duty' to max all your attributes I think you weren't really playing the game in a fun game.

I suppose it's just a matter of playstyle.

Well in ob a mage HAD to raise strength endurance and speed.. maybe not to 100 but the game was NOT blanced to allow a mage not to raise them at all. This ment every mage had to take up a weapon or two a shield and heavy armor and so on. It was pure crap.

and the "Grind" isn't gone, your still grinding to unlock that +10 to weapon damage perk.

Can a single person provide me with a source that actually says this? I have the feeling someone pulled the notion out of their ass and it still stinks

I would like Attributes that automatically give perks. Like the skills did in Oblivion.

I think getting married to game mechanics is the dumbest thing anybody can do, specially when that anybody just doesnt have the intelligence to realize how broken the attributes system was, even in Daggerfall.

It doesnt matter what I want particularly; all I care about is that they make the game more functional and less exploitable. That way we are guaranteed a more rewarding progression.

And under the new perk system we will be more rewarded for focusing on a single skill instead of in Oblivion or Morrowind where it would screw up our attributes if we keep focusing on Blade.
