underground cities/paths/subway

do you think there would be an underground city or even a path i mean in Fo3 had most of the subways linking up and take you nearly all over the map because it was safer (well ish) , they did say 5 cities big as empire city do you think they would have made one under ground just to add to the exploration or to save space

It'd be interesting if there was some sort of underground cave system to add more size to the map in another "dimension" so to speak, but I hardly doubt they'll add something like that. The game world itself is already quite large. But we'll see.

Underground paths through caves or something would be cool or even a settlement created in a large cavern. But a subway?lol

Edit: Todd mentioned before that getting around mountains would require going around them or going *under* so you might get your wish.

Maybe an underground pathway from one rebellious city to another... I don't like the idea of an entire network im afraid...

This, specifically the edit. We'll be going through cave systems in some mountains, and these won't be the generic, copy-pasted caves from Oblivion (or, good God, Dragon Age II).

Well Markath is built on top of dwemer ruins so maybe we will be able to navigate trough the cities by exploring the ruins (like the sewers in the imperial city)

it might be cool to have a couple of dwemer ruins connected by a series of tunnels.

I'm sure there will be mountain tunnels. I just hope we don't need to rely on them a la navigating downtown DC via the metros in Fallout 3.

Using invisible walls to block off areas and forcing the player through tunnel passes is a good way to make sure we use fast travel every time thereafter. That type of world design is just plain annoying.

Like the goblin caves through the Misty Mountains, or the Mines of Moria. Could be cool.

I loved the Imperial City Sewers. It was a much cooler way to get around the city. I'm hoping we have more ways around in general. I would like to see a bunch of clustered houses with square roofs similar to Balmora, only a lot higher up.
