Verona House upgrade

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 1:18 am

The quest keeps not advancing when it should. There is something wrong. I just started it again/

Spoiler
This time, when I get Mirabella out of the Abandoned Prison and back to the house in Corral, the quest never updates to acknowledge that she is safe in this run through.

Spoiler
It has broken several times in Skingrad when I failed to talk to Valmar a again during the second meeting.

The farthest I have been able to get is Bravil.

Spoiler
If I don't click on the dialogue to get down to business, with Manimar, that option goes away and never returns and the quest never advances any further.

First question: Are you using the official release version of VHB or Arthmoor's latest "fixed" version?

Arthmoor's. Sorry about forgetting to mention that. The original had other problems that Arthmoor's release does fix. I do not know why the quest line keeps breaking like this now.

To be more precise, I played this all the way through before Arthmoor's update was published. I did encounter some issues, which were fixed by Arthmoor's release.

I did download the fixes and have been playing them which is when I started encountering the problems with the quest not advancing the way it should.

Is anyone else encountering this problem. I did not have any of the quest advancement issues with the original and I like the fixes. I also like that this is compatible with the upcoming release of RST.

If you still have a save for the first spoiler block, I need more information. If you can, do a "getstage vhq001" on it and let me know what stage the quest says it's at. Otherwise it's not going to be easy to track this down.

I'll see if I can recreate it. I went back into that game last night after my last post, exited the shack and re-entered it. The quest finally advanced. If I can get it to happen again I will input that getstage message and see what happens.

I have restarted the quest a couple of times and have been unable to get the Chorral issue to repeat itself.

Did you by chance install this update over the original without a clean save?

Nope. I started the mod with a different character after I installed your update.

I have gotten to the Blood Altar part of the quest now. Since no one else is reporting problems, I am going to assume there is some kind of problem with my game.

What is Arthmoor's fixed version and where can I find it? I have just started playing VHBloodlines and I am stuck at the first stage where I have to meet the merchant Augur in Chorrol. I meet him but I can't talk to him because he has no conversation topics so I can't progress. Is there a way round this?

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36389 It's the SI version of the mod though, so if you don't have SI, don't use it.

Not sure if you'll need to restart since the Auger part isn't too far in.

Thanks for the link. I do have SI so I will definitely try this version.

To use this version, can I just install the new files over my existing VH files?

I finally made all the way through this version of the mod. It really does play better than the original. Thanks again for releasing your fixes Arthmoor.

You'll want to uninstall the old ones because the new files use a BSA instead of a scatter of loose meshes and textures. The ESP name is the same though so as long as you keep it in the same load order position you'll be fine.
