You know, they said in a podcast that the distance is not really that great, considering the size of the game world, but still people get excited over thousands of steps. Its a great concept, but Im sure it will take you more time to go from Dawstar to Solitude than climbing the steps.

I know I won't. Even if it isn't 7,000, there's a little thing called Exaggeration, and everyone does it.
No, Bethesda said they've counted.. and it was equal to 7,000 steps...
