Merging Skeleton.nif's

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 6:24 am

I'm wondering how I would go about merging two "Skeleton.nif"'s together? I am planning on updating Helmet FOV for several mods such as FCOM, but I've never done anything like that. The FOV readme says that the Skeleton.nif is essential, and it should be merged with a mod that also requires Skeleton.nif.

Is this a relatively easy process, that can maybe be done though NifSkope? I have that utility. Any help would be appreciated.

I do not want to ninja Arkngt, but there is always Corroneras Maximum Compatability Skeleton as a resorce for a project like this.
EDIT If you are talking about modifying the first person point of view to reflect the vision restrictions that wearing a helmet would cause, I do not think the skeleton used would have an impact on this, but I am a player and my modding experience is very limited. I can definitely see a demand for a mod like this, especially amongst people who really roleplay. I would use this kind of mod myself.

I'll check out the Maximum Compatibility Skeletons you mentioned.

I'll be basing my mod off of Helmet FOV, which only covers vanilla armors, Shivering Isles armors and 4 custom armors. If there is enough of a demand for it, I'll release it to the public (once I acquire permission from the original author, of course).
