I know the last thread for "The Order" mod did not end on such great terms; bickering and assumptions lead to the thread getting locked unfortunately. I was however wondering how the mod turned out, where it is going, and whether there was any chance of ever seeing a translation. I know it was supposed to be released in chapters.

I understand if the authors are still somewhat frustrated, but it would be awesome to get some news or at least some closure to any hopes I had. Hope they can forgive the english speaking community.

I would too like to know if there is any hope for a english version of the mod. I am not aware of what went on but this mod did peak my interest.

I will probably try a pm if this seems to get no response. I haven't even checked if the previous member of their mod team has been on lately. I suppose I shall look now. Either way this could perhaps build some interest and hopefully make something happen if nothing was planned to begin with. We shall see. Thanks

Just checked Xerxes activity and he keeps it private so I'm not really sure he looks at these forums anymore.

Still very much looking forward to it. Whenever the English translation is out, I'm downloading ASAP. It looks amazing.

Oh, and could anyone even considering hassling or sniping at the modders involved... not? Thank you so much. I, along with many others, would love an opportunity to actually try this mod. Please don't endanger the possibility of that ever happening.

Well said lol, it would be great to see something of such proportions. Especially since I've seen parts of Adash which are amazing, not to mention there are members of the Order integrated into that storyline, it would be awesome to bring their story back to cyrodil roleplahing wise :dance:

Never a good idea. It will sound like a load of gibberish. Ask someone who knows both languages.

I've spoken with Haldor in the passed and he and the other guys from The Order seem like nice folks. It just got a bit out of hand after someone announced to make an English translation without getting in touch with the Order team first. Hope you can figure out if a translation is in the making, Sloblivion.

suppose you have a point, I don't use google translator though I use another program and it seems to have worked well, but at least it would be some form of communication, I know Xerxes could read and write english though so I think it shouldn't be too big of an issue. It seems that most other non english speaking countries learn our language anyway lol, we (english speaking) are somewhat slacking in the department of learning other languages :facepalm:

Both Haldor and Xerxes speak english, so shooting them a PM would be sufficient methinks. No need to use a translator in this case as that will mainly be good for a few laughs on their side!

I think all mods should be translated between all languages...so everybody has a chance to try them!

That would be nice. But I kind of understand why some modders don't allow it. Much like nintendo will never get halo and xbox will never get zelda, they remain a trademark to their particular franchise. The german modding community is a creature in itself much like the english is, although we both occasionally share :foodndrink: I just hope that this will be one of the shared mods

That would be me. I committed an unintentional faux pas. Xerxes was justified in his response, but all the ill will generated made me drop the issue entirely instead of going through the proper channels. Water under the bridge, as far as I'm concerned, but I doubt he'll be interested in letting anyone do a translation.

Well not here to point fingers or cast blame I hope with enough of an interest in a translation though the modding team might be persuaded to either do it themselves or let an outside party do so. I will most likely send a pm tomorrow if Xerxes or Haldor do not happen to drop a few words in this thread.

Instead of doing a full-on English translation with words and lip-synching; why not just edited the subtitles text to appear in English? Is there anything wrong with that?

I remember seeing this one before and being extremely interested in it, it was a shame the last thread went sour. I would really love some part of an English translation for this one, even if it was just the text. This would fit perfect for my paladin and cleric characters and the spells and armor look great! Man, I wish my school hadn't cancelled the German language course.

I'd all just forgotten about this thread lol, well from my last post I don't remember getting any replies from the team. I suppose if someone wanted to they could try again. I'm pretty sure the mod is released, but I don't know if it is being worked on anymore.
