What would you like in a pre-order bonus?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 10:22 am

I don't think there shoud be an ingame pre-order bonus... Even what they did for NV was stupid. I think if anything we should get 5$ off like what Valve did with Portal 2. (at least on PC)

I would love unique armour/ clothing. Perhaps a hood and cloak that serves some kind of protection (could be made of leather??)

Where is the option for "none" ?

In game pre order bonuses are ridiculous.

The only preoder bonus I like is preoder sales where they give you a certain % off if you preorder.

I'm going to pre-order but I don't like the idea of pre-order bonuses. Yes, it gives you a little something extra but at the same time it locks away that content from everyone else who didn't get the bonus.
If there is no exclusive bonus then everyone will get the same and full content of the disc, that's the way it should be.
Unless it's something like a headstart, giving you some non-exclusive items to get started faster, but I still don't see the point since you'll get those items eventually.

We should get some special weapon like a 1700s musket or advanced crossbow or something

I wouldn't want anything in game. A special physical...thing would be nice. A coin or map or maybe even a book would be cool.

That's sounds more like a Collector's edition, though I agree with what your saying. To get an actual hard cover (though likely paperback) version of some of the books would be amazing.

And as for ingame bonuses...I don't know, I don't really care

A set of Elder Scrolls themed cards or dice would be nice. I hate in-game pre-order bonuses, especially when different stores give you different content.

It would be cool to have an extra Dragonshout or spell. But if it is gonna come with downloadables and not a poster then it should come with a few downloadble things. Like Dragonshouts swords spells stuff like that. But I would LOVE a poster like the background for the forums .The one with Dovakhiin and TES in the top left.

Ya know what wud be awesome? If they let us create our own companion character! It wud have to be a set race so they can voice him/her, but that would be so cool!

I don't really care about in game content. A new sword or armour set is going to lose significance pretty quickly with mods. I'd prefer something tangible like a cloth map or nordic brooch. As well as the usual artbook and a unique case.

Don't exactly care for pre-order bonuses. If anything, I'd rather get some more physical goodies (like a concept art poster or a higher-quality map) than a tacky plugin that can be modded into the game.

Won't be pre-ordering
In Dragon Age it was a bit ridiculous
I'm a penniless dwarf commoner whose sister has to prosttute herself but I have this collection of artifacts worth a couple of hundred gold
Of course that was with the pre-order stuff and the stuff new characters got for another character having completed the DLC etc
I hope bethesda find a less intrusive way to market the pre-order edition

I think a family heirloom amulet would be nice. Or even your own little cottage out of inheritance, even if there was a quest line to be able to own the place first (like maybe rid it of spirits first or whatever).

Bonus Aesthetics like maybe some bonus hair styles would be neat and it wouldn't be game breaking.
