Huh, that's odd that they would change the sound, especially since they have such a fetish of making the game the same on each console.

There is always the possibility that the one released online on PC was just of lower quality (lower bitrate or whatever). That can defiantly effect the sound, and the dynamics (higher sounds can't be heard).

Might have been an attack by the hacking group known as Anonymous according to IGN.

Oh, so no big updates are coming of this, I assume? That's not fair. I can't prove that I'm not crazy until that trailer pops back up and some other forum members see it, I can't play Demon's Souls online like this, and we're not even getting any updates from it. :swear:

Nope. No big update is forthcoming. I want to get on to download this trailer though. How ironic is it I've waited 2 months for this to go up and I can't download yet!

I guess checking every day, as I did, really did give me an advantage over a person who checks every week, didn't it. :P

Yeah apparently its an attack by the Anonymous group (bunch of wankers who get fun out of us not being able to game online!) and it is worldwide, which explains why I can't log in from Australia, but last night our time it was up so it has happened today, here is a link?

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/109448-PSN-Down-Worldwide-Is-Anonymous-to-Blame

Dunno what is wrong with people who purposefully sabotage networks like this, I wanted to download the Skyrim trailer but its a bit hard when you can't log in to the network! :(

I love the part where he shouts and the climix of the theme song blasts away. I agree, it is emotional... and was especially so the first time I watched it.

What do people expect from a free service?

Don't start. I don't remember a single instance of someone hacking the PSN and causing this type of inconvenience, before. The free service you criticize works very well and this is an abnormal respite from continued service. That's that and no more needs to be said of it in this thread.

Sony I think confirmed that it wasn't Anonymous. It could be many things, But First Sony said it was Maintenance then they said it was something to do with Japan. So who knows.

I agree this is the first time in over 3 years of having my PS3 that I have had ANY extended delay to the network service, seriously you think that because Xbox Live costs money that it doesn't have any issues? I find that pretty amusing...

I would just ignore posts like that from worm he seems to like trolling.
He went as far as to say I didn't want mods on a console despite the fact that I specifically stated otherwise several times because I was pointing out areas where there would be problems with doing it, so yeah just ignore not worth pointless debate.

Glad I'm not alone in this

Me too lol tbh I felt like a complete dumb ass after I posted it, that is until several people agreed then I felt good but still kinda nerdy lol.

I've got the HD (720p) version of both trailers on my PS3. Again, I don't think it's a necessarily better sound quality, but the specific effects are different. Comparing them between two different platforms may not make those differences all too noticeable, especially if they have different sound capabilities (computer speaker vs. TV speaker) from one another. The picture quality didn't change, at all, for me, but again I have both on my PS3, so I've got that direct comparison without differences due to platform differences corrupting the observations. Just to stress my point, what strikes me as odd is that specific, in-game actions (drawing a sword, hitting enemies, swinging in the air, etc.) produce different sound effects in the two trailers and I don't know what should be expected in the final game on any platform.

What wall of text?

Interesting find Seti. One of my friends has a 360 and a PS3, so I'll be sure to get him to download the trailer on both in order to compare them. I'll probably listen to the PC version too, just to make sure that it's not different too.

Also, I'll try to listen to them all through the same speakers to make sure that the audio is in fact different, rather than just a difference with the speakers.

Thank you. I want to strike at the core of what I'm talking about and spam posts that have nothing to do with the topic fill in with abundance and cover a third of the thread, instead (:stare:)... to which your post is much-needed relief.

I'm not criticizing it, I'm saying that you don't have any right to complain about the unavailability of a free service.
