[RELZ] Wrye Bash -- Thread 63

1. yes this would be perfect, but this doesn't work
Just double checked to make sure, and it does perfectly for me. could you provide screen shots of before you close, then after you re-open bash? Maybe it'll give me a clue. Also, I suppose version of windows, python, wxpython would be helpful

The only column sizes I can concur do not remember last state are on the Saves Tab. Otherwise all column sizes stay put on Installers and Mods tabs (Unless theres a possibility he means the resizeable Sub-Package/Comments boxes on the Installers Tab - Those resize which they never used to but do not remember last state)

And thank you for having a look at the new screens :)

Ditto with the SubPackage box, I rarely have any need for the Comments section, yet it fills the Whole section each time I open the Installers ...

I also have an issue with the Refresh, where it will Stall on certain Mods calculating the CRCs, most Prominate for me seems to be http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/594-wellspring-vale/.esp.
*(It will take a couple minutes all by itself (Several times longer than the rest combined))
*(Don't know if it's possible from the way I packaged it, or maybe because I cleaned it, or..

I think he means the columns in both Installers tab and the Mods tab (some of them is almost *hidden*), because the only tab I didn't resize columns is in the INI Edits tabs, but I do resize the column a little in the Screenshots tab and it remains unchanged.

I look into these as well. The comments thing I've noticed a few times myself, but for the most part stays (in the svn version, not 291). The Screenshots tab has only one column though... so unless you mean the dragable window sized (which works fine for me as well) I'm not sure what you mean. Saves Tab I can confirm doesn't remember its size

And thank you for having a look at the new screens :)
No problem

Is this on the SVN or 291? If it's the SVN, then the progress bar should continue to move as it calculates its crc.

Very odd. The only thing that I can think off is maybe your 'BashSettings.dat' (located in your My Games\Oblivion folder) is readonly or corrupted or something. You can try renaming both it and 'BastSettings.dat.bak' to something else. This will make WB forget it's UI settings (all of them), then see if it'll remember your column sizes after that. If it doesn't then there's something else going on.

@ Arthmoor (and anyone else interested)

I took a crack at the AIPackages patcher, trying to fix it up to produce better patch results. Would you mind running it through your build and telling me what you think? Screenshots in TES4Edit of any messed up records will be helpful

It's been for Several revisions,( I'm at svn 975 right now) Just tried a New download, (moved previous packages out) and no differance...
When I first open the Installers, it does all the scans up to CRC's in ~27 seconds, when it hits Wellspring, Stalls and stops resopnding for a couple minutes...

Try updating to the latest SVN. In earlier versions, the progress bar wouldn't move until the whole crc of a file was calculated. Now it moves during the crc calculation. So after updating, if it still hangs, it means Bash is having problems doing plain old file IO on it.

Is that a potential fix for CBash mode which Arthmoor was trying? Or an amendment to non-CBash AIPackages.

No help, it Was running through the progress bar, listing differant mods, (Nearly to the end of the bar) untill it hit Wellspring, Now the whole box leaves the screen. (starring at the Mods window, untill it suddenly switches to the Installers window)
I've had the same type deal with a few Other mods as well, but I don't recall witch, that's the only one it's chocking on with my Current install.

*(Running Python 2.71 (64-bit, (doesn't seem to like PyWin, so Straight Python)) pretty sure I had the same results with all versions of Python though, but I'll check on 32-bit.

**No differance on 2,71 32-bit, still "Not Responding" at (apperantly) the same spot. (progress box still disapears)

Bah, I forgot OrderedDict didn't get added until Python 2.7, grrr I'll get back to you on it, but in the meantime, I'll revert it to the way it was

EDIT: reverted
Also, the column sizes not being remembered should be fixed now. For both the Saves tab, and for Baphometal

Well I would have been willing to bump to Python 2.7 but I'm assuming this reverted everything you changed?

Yeah, I'm working on a version that wont need Python 2.7, so just wait a bit (hopefully pretty quick, but could be an hour or so)

EDIT: It was easier than I thought. Try it now,

That cleared the build process with no errors, now to check it to see what the imports look like.

r988 CBash mode, I get all my usual imports listed for AIPackages - non missing .... Thats about as far as I dare go - leaving the in-depth accurate reporting to Arthmoors expertise

But one thing noticed http://www.bild.me/bild.php?file=1672790Untitled.jpg marking mergeables is a bit off, those vwalk's from surazals usually end up with a dot. (Prior to the build I selected everything with a tick to see what would happen post build - The only thing extra I did after the build was Mark Mergeable to colour code the esps, but the selection states were selected automatically by Wrye Bash)

Edit: All Natural filter would normally be a dot too. I think .. checking .. yup.

Doesn't appear to have come out any different from PM's version. His code was doing all of these.

First: http://img813.imageshack.us/img813/5518/taggedbutignored.jpg

The UOP is tagged, as is Oblivifall. In this NPC, the AI packs are not changed by the UOP and Oblivifall's changes have obviously been ignored.

Second: http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/1883/tagsworkedapected.jpg

This one worked, as do any others where a tagged mod leads the list and untagged mods are in between.

Also, this one has an error in another patcher. The scripts tag on the UOP did not carry its change forward. Possibly blocked by TIE which is also tagged with scripts but obviously has none to carry forward.

Third: http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/4207/generateditm.jpg

This one generated an ITM record for some reason. Got me as to why. It obviously shouldn't have.

Fourth: http://img863.imageshack.us/img863/4914/injectedaipacks.jpg

This might be intentional based on previous discussions with Warudar about how CBash does things but I don't recall this having happened before with AI Packs.

And tes4edit spits out a pretty big list of errors from other records, for whoever needs to look into them:
