Load-outs & Outfits

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 3:41 am

One thing in oblivion That I didn't like was having to switch between different weapons and clothing, (mostly clothing). So what I propose to you today is load-outs. Load-outs would work like this

Load-Out 1:
2H Claymore
Gloves of shield 50%
Cloak of Disguise
boots of blinding speed
Dragon shout: fire breath

Load Out 2:
1H Steel Dager
1H Steel Dager
Assassins Clothes
Glasses of Awesomeness

So when you choose, lets say the first loadout, you would have everything equipped and ready.
So what do you think.

I'm pretty sure they're doing this in Skyrim, or something very similar to it, with the system replacing hotkeys.

Streamline sthe clothing too much i think. I loved being bale to mixmatch clothing, and spend time creating and giving my player cool vestments.

EDIT: Wait, i think i see where your coming form. As a quick save of outfit to pull it up later?

I kinda liked that you could do that in Two Worlds 2. But I don't mind if it's not it. I'm used to always going in menus so I'll probably do it anyways, and when I'm done say "ah damn I had it all hotkeyed!"

I think the new favorites menu is going to allow this.

Cool idea. It would streamline things a little, that's for sure.

I always enjoy going into menus and micro-managing my inventory; equipping and un-equipping clothing, weapons and armor so I wouldn't mind if the system was left alone. I see your point though.

But wouldn't it feel unrealistic to completely change your clothing/weapons at a press of a button?
I hope this has some drawbacks or something.

I agree I loved having three equipment load outs that I could switch to on the fly.
