Manly Poses?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 1:39 am

Hey everybody! I was just realizing, theres really not very many (if any) manly poses. Like a pose mod just for showing off those medieval, sword wielding guns! Yes, I mean muscles. I svck at animating (or posing for that matter), but I was just wondering if theres any interest here at all. I have one pose that I consider 'done' but will probably go back and tweak it more. Pic below. I have no idea how to put it into Oblivion though. Is there any interest in manly poses or not really? If there is, I might try to make more poses and eventually release a pack... No promises though, because I svck, 90% of the time I create something in Blender its not perfect, and I end up hating it and deleting it, and trying to restart from scratch... Which never gets anywhere... But if you all like this pose, I can at least give you all one pose lol.

Oh, and modesty block not included :P (there was nothing there, but just wanted to be safe and cover him up more)

Sometimes I feel when I look at mods on TESNexus and PES that I'm the only guy who actually plays a male character. They are shockingly neglected in comparison to female mods.
Go for it.
 I'll guarantee you at least one download.

Me too. Was never fond of the girly mods that stinks of playing with dolls. ;)

I'll add my vote for this as well, though I would prefer idle pose replacers over just a simple pose mod.

I think it's great that there are so many talented modders putting out amazing work, but I have always played male characters, and never use anime-themed or "total suspension of disbelief" mods. So I sometimes feel under-represented.
Even good male hairstyles, for example, seem to have an emo theme going, which never seems to suit my characters. I won't even talk about armor and clothes (though there is some great stuff out there, just not in proportion.)

Anyway, I'll definitely check this mod out if you finish it.

I usually have both female and male characters going. In that way I get both worlds. I am really interested in knowing about male pose packs too. Some poses in the female ones can indeed be applied to male characters too, but female pose packs adding pillows with "I love you" on them and cute little bears and wolves just don't do it for me, whether the character is male or female. I mean geez.

And Armours. I love Pale Rider's stuff though.

I currently have two female characters and one male (!) - FCOM++, Nehrim++, and "other", respectively - so I too would personally be very interested, as well as in the general sense of, "Yeah, that would be a good thing".

Please, please, please NOT anime-style, as well. Or at least SOME that aren't. Ugh.

I play both, and most of the female poses and animations aren't to my taste either, but I'd love some manly poses that weren't equally tacky or silly. Tarzan beating his chest I would probably not use ever, though some barbarian type poses that are less silly might be useful. LOTRO type poses like the battle rallying stuff I would use.
