Start your own guild

Something I thought about... what if you were able to start your own guild. If you, for example, want to form a... hmm.. bandits guild! You start out real small, maybe you get a few companions that are good fighters and you begin to raid caravans and merchants along the road and maybe even harass the guards in outposts or on the roads. The rumors are spreading that there is a bandit group on the loose or something, slowly you meet more bandits that have no where to go that eventually will join you.

Maybe you can send your members away on missions, raid villages, set up ambushes, traps and stuff. A "you make the quest" system would be pretty hard to implement though I guess... Im not sure how that would work. But I think it would be really awesome! What do you think?

I don't see how this would be possible.
It'd be cool, don't get me wrong, but we don't have the programming available in game to do that.

I always think of ACB when this comes up. I really do not see how it will work though if they make it alot more difficult to do it and make it so almost any thing can happen to the guy you sent out thats a start but ya..

You're right except the last part, it's not the programming or the resources, it's just the time it would take to do it, Bethesda only has a little over 6 months left, so between the debugging, beta testing, final tweeking, packaging, licencig crap, mass producing games and sitting there making us beg like a dog with a treat held over our noses, they couldn't add in a building with a bunch of decor sets and a massive recruitment/establishment questchain for the player to get a crew toghether and a base of operations going.

Sounds awesome. But IMPOSSIBLE in a game this scale cause if they were to do this by 11/11/11 there wouldn't be no main quest. Or any creatures. Or many weapons. OR SKILLS. I Like your idea tough, it just wouldn't work.
