I know this is not in Skyrim but I was thinking of other ways they could implement a new combat system, as far as swinging a sword around goes. You know how you just keep tapping the right trigger/left mouse button to do just a basic hack-and-slash? Well what if they had a system where you hold down the attack button and just move the right thumb stick/mouse around to control where the weapon hits and how it moves? I just think it would be more fun than just a tapping/holding a button.

Daggerfall had this, it was pretty cool.


Of course, it also prevented you from moving the camera around during a swing so it's not ideal.
