Populated streets out of town.

Are they planning the out of town streets more populated? Like every now and then walking past a camp of travelers or traveling merchants... Maybe units of soldiers going to a different city. or going to fight a dragon ect.

I sure hope so. The Black Horse Courier and guards were all in OB, and in MW it was just an occasional quest character.

Don't expect anything like assassins creed. In fact don't expect much of an improvement from Oblivion.

I sure hope so. Roads in oblivion were pretty dead aside from an occasional encounter with a legion guard or highwayman. It wouldn't hurt to make towns look like people actually live there either.

Everyone seems to mention assassin's creed as a sort of innovator on this street population issue, but i just thought they had faceless blobs of people moving around, not really taking much notice of a skinny dude dive bombing onto them from the tops of buildings so I don't really think they skyrim should take tips from AS, but I do think your legions of soldiers moving around is a pretty cool idea, as well as generally just less spareness on the streets.

I don't know. I walked about a mile and a half today and saw not one soul so I'm not sure how it should be in a game.

I would definitely like to see more travelers on the roads. Maybe have the main roads that lead to the big cities be relatively safe so travelers/merchants won't get robbed or mauled 100 yards away from the city they just left. The roads would probably need to be patrolled by more than just a few soldiers to make that realistic. Maybe have guard outposts placed along roads and have squads of 5-10 soldiers patrolling in groups. It was a little weird in OB to just have 1 guard patrolling a road all by himself.

Going off the main roads should be a lot riskier and those roads should be less traveled by.
