Jormungandr can show you a program that can play the movies in Daggerfall.
On the second part, you're probably fine. I think it was Barenziah who paid the best for the information on where Woodbourne was, but I think the most fun was telling Medora and letting her nuke him.
No, what I'm most worried about is the fact that these entries are *still* in my journal, even after I get the animation telling me that Lysandus' soul is at rest. Shouldn't those entries have disappeared after completing this part of the main quest? It seems strange, since every part of the main quest after meeting that lady in the tavern at the beginning has ended with the relevant log entry disappearing. For example, after completing Prince Lhotun's quest, the entry in my log telling me to go to a dungeon to find out what happened to his brother disappears. Likewise, after I deliver the painting to Akorithi the entry in my log telling me to get the painting from Wayrest also disappears. All of those entries disappear from my log, so why don't these two entries disappear as well?
The reason I'm worried is because of this paragraph from the Beginner's Guide to Daggerfall:
**CAUTION** Save the game before doing this quest and DO NOT overwrite the saved game until you actually see the animation telling you that Lysandus is resting peacefully. There is a major random bug that does not trip the necessary flags after you complete these last two quests. Until those flags are tripped, you will not be able to so the Totem quest. If you have a saved game at this point, you can run fixsave on it and (usually) get those flags set to trip properly. Yes, it means having to repeat two quests, but it's better than the alternative.
Does the fact that my log *still* has entries about Woodborne's diary and how Lysandus told me to kill him mean that the "necessary flags" have not been tripped? If so, this means that I've broken the main quest.
