Crash Immediately Upon Entering Weynon Priory - Ideas?

I started a game up and everything plays just fine until I enter Weynon Priory, at which time it immediately crashes to desktop. Ideas?

Well, I just went back to my mod list, and I did note that the add-on quest The Ayleid Steps was still active, and it requires COBL, which I'm not currently using, so I deactivated it. I also was getting corrupted Autosave games as well, according to Wrye Bash. So, I rebuilt my Bash Patch. And it's fixed.

Not sure what exactly made the difference, but I'll take it.

There's very strong evidence that auto-save and quick-save will eventually corrupt through constant use.
I suggest disabling both and looking at Streamline, if only for it's save feature.
Also a good idea to have around 6 "hard" saves, rotating them frequently. Normally I`ll create a fresh save after approx 25 hours game play, deleting the eldest as I do so.

I had this as well, somewhere I found the suggestion to wait for X hours (ingame, not in real life), I did and I was able to enter.

A "classic" reason getting CTDs when entering Weynon Priory is having bDoSpecularPass set to 0 in the ini:

Workaround
Set the variable bDoSpecularPass in Oblivion.ini to 1 if you switched it off before. You can turn it back off after you're past the problem area.
