Quick question about Bahsed Patch

If i have made a mistake in creating the Bashed Patch how do I go about creating a new one without reinstalling everything?

I installed FCOM but I made a mistake by adding two emsm's i shouldnt have (caused CDT after intro video and was fixed after unchecked) and forgot to add the Better Cities esm (essential for me playing Oblivion). I unchecked these in Wrye Bash but I realised the Bashed Patch was also uncheked after this. Whenever I try to reactivate the Bashed Patch those two esm's reactivate and hence I cannot play the game.

Essentially what i am asking is can the Bashed Patch be remade without reinstalling, i have been sat installing for 3 and half hours today and I really do not want to do that again! I am sure that there is an easy way around this but this is the first time I have used Wrye Bash and I did download the pictorial tutorial to help.

Aye, it's pretty cut & dry. First correct your mistakes, then right click the Bashed Patch and select Rebuild Patch from the resultant context menu choices.

That's about all there is to it.

Thanks Decrepit, so basically once i click rebuild patch what happens is that the Bashed Patch is rebuilt minus the errant esm's and the Better Cities one I forgot to include first time around?

You should be able to deactivate your current Bashed Patch and rebuild it. There is also a spare unused Bashed Patch in the MOPY\extras folder in your Oblivion Folder in case you make a mistake.

Thanks Bradleyh, so worst case scenario is to copy the Bashed Patch in the Mopy file into the Data folder, then start from the start! Well one hour of BPing beats 3 and half of installing game and mods!!!!

Oh! I don't use Better Cities so don't know what tags it might have. Anytime you add a new mod (texture/mesh/sound only packs (no esm/esp) excepted) you'll want to click through the Bashed Patch build categories (tweaks, imports, merges, etc.) and see if any of them contain a selectable option for your mod(s). If so select it. THEN click to begin rebuilding.

I just click on my Bashed Patch and select rebuild, but I know some people are running older versions of Wrye Bash,so I figured better safe than sorry.

Yes, the FCOM install is faulty. Follow the opening post in the release thread to get correct versions. That shouldn't cause the CTD issue though - that's probably caused by missing resources, i.e. not having MMM.bsa renamed correctly etc.

Crashes like that are usually caused by missing resources as said, so double check that the MMM and Fran's bsa's get loaded, that you have OOO 1.33 Complete installed etc. Also, only use one Less Reavers esp and don't use MMM G&GD.

I have reread he FCOM thread in more detail and I think I am going to reinstall.

Two more things though:

1) Do i have to uninstall Wrye Bash and all the python files as well or just Wyre Bash only?

2) Is there a known clash between Better Cities and FCOM?

Yeah, might be a good idea. It's sort of backwards to install FCOM plus a bunch of other mods and only then check if it seems to work as it makes trouble shooting much harder for one thing. Install it incrementally instead. Check that the patched vanilla install seems to work. Add OOO and check again. Add the core FCOM mods and check. Then add one or two mods at a time and check that it seems to work before continuing.

No need to uninstall Wrye Bash at all I'd guess. Better Cities works fine with FCOM - not sure if it retains OOO's ownerships of crates etc. but should only be minor issues like that if it doesn't.
