OOO Quest Problem: Eregor not showing up. Spawn via Console?

Seeing that the OOO developers are still active in this forum, let me start by thanking you for making playing Oblivion an even better experience.

That said, here's my problem: I'm currently playing the "Shadows in a Struggle for Power" quest, added by OOO.
I'm at the point where you can pinpoint the whole thing to Eregor who resides deep in the Yeleri Ayleid ruin. I've entered the ruin, got the proper quest update, fought (and sneaked) my way down, entered the final chamber.
Problem is: no Eregon is there, only his four elven knights.
Tried different older savegames: no effect.

Running OOO 1.34 beta 5 + German version patch ("OOO 1.34 DV"). I have 20+ mods loaded, but OOO is the only one that adds quests etc.
The release notes for 1.34 beta show "Fix to make sure Eregor is enabled/disabled at the proper time (resolves an issue in the Shadows in a Struggle for Power quest)", maybe the German version somehow breaks this...

## my question ##
I guess that diagnosing/debugging the exact reason is probably be too difficult, so my question is: can I somehow spawn/enable Eregor via console?
Using my Google wisdom, I tried player.placeatme 01002A47 (looked up his base ID in the CS), but that only displays the message "is in an interior" twice.

Any hints from the experts?

You can place him manually with the CS

Try simply enabling him. Chances are he is already there, and is set to 'initially disabled'.

You overestimate my knowledge of CS, console etc.
I just clicked through these with some IT common sense, but I don't really understand how it all works.

In CS I can see him standing in the corner of the room - just where you'd expect him.
"initially disabled" already is NOT checked.

If he's already "there", just disabled by who-knows-what - what can I do?

EDIT:
Found the solution myself. When searching the relevant scripts, I found the conditions for Eregon to be enabled.
Here's the solution (just in case someday Google leads somebody here with the same problem):
Eregon will only show up if you killed the boss in the Narind ruin (Lareil) beforehand! If you just sneak in, get Jephre's gem, and sneak out (as I did), then you'll get the quest updates etc. and will be lead to Yeleri - but no Eregon will be there.
Went back to Narind, killed the boss, and voilĂ : I finally was able to battle with Eregon to get the dread armor and Jephre's conjuration spells (which are really cool).

Thanks once again for pointing me in the right direction!

I have scoured the net trying to find out how to console spawn Eregor and NOTHING works!

Did you see scherge's post above? He won't spawn if Lareil is not killed in Narind first.

Yeah.. I killed her the first time around. I really don't know what else to do or try in order to resolve this. I guess maybe I'll go back to Narind and see if maybe somehow she is still alive, but I definitely remember getting the message that she was dead and was rather annoyed that her body disappeared with the message as well so I wasn't able to loot her.

Searched Narind in god mode to save time. Lariel wasn't among them since I had killed her earlier. Not really sure what other options I have left at this point. I would hate to have to re-install OOO. Ugh.

Did you get the green gem and take it out of Narind? I am about to start this quest myself again, and I could intentionally try and duplicate your problem.

I got the gem.. did the whole follow the wolf thing to Y**** and then when I went inside it gave me a long update where it talked about how I was up against a whole battalion of very well trained rangers and that I needed to find Eregor and kill him because it all ended with me. And then I started clearing, which isn't an easy task and made worse by the fact they respawn when you actually zone into lower levels and return. Cleared the main room with the balog statue and not once did I see or fight anyone named Eregor, nor anyone who looked like he does in the videos I have seen.

I guess the next step is going to be exit the ruins and wait for 3 days and then go back in on god mode and see if maybe he respawns - highly doubt that will be the case though. Also, when I tried to console spawn him using the player.placeatme 01002A47, it gave me an error.

Any thoughts on that?

Update: Left the ruins alone for 4 days and then returned and killed everyone inside using kill command. The place had respawned but still no Eregor. I have read that his Lt.'s are in the same room as he, but I only found 3-4 Warsmer Leaders. No sign of Eregor.

Last few were the note from Eregor to Lariel, then stealing the gem, then I got the update when the gem turns into the wolf and beats feet, and then lastly the update when I entered Eregor's ruins about how it was up to me to end things.

Interestingly enough, I have duplicate entries for stealing the gem. I don't know if that is important or not.

How odd, you're definitely in the right place and at the right stage. Could he be stuck in the geometry/walls somewhere? Anyway, you need to change the first two digits of 01002A47, it's the load order position of Oscuro's_Oblivion_Overhaul.esm. It's 09002A47 for me, for example.

I'd be concerned about the fact that Lareil's body disappeared as soon as you killed her. Sounds like you need to increase your iRemoveExcessDeadCount and associated settings. A similar thing may have happened with Eregor - somehow he ended up dead and the game removed his body.

I read a post somewhere that referenced the body disappearing on them as well. Other bodies don't vanish on me.. ever. Just her's so far.. and since I didn't get the message that I had killed Eregor, he's still alive somewhere. I'm going to try the load order that was suggested on the console command and see if that doesn't summon the bugger.. fingers crossed!

Good news! Eregor lies dead at my feet! Had to adjust the console command as was recommended and he showed up! I didn't get an update upon his death, but I was able to grab his dread pieces so I think I should be good. Thank you so much for the help!

Hmmmmmm... so at what point exactly should you be able to use the Jephre's Pride summoning spells? I am way bugged it seems. Blech!

I have OOO 1.32 esm and esp loading last in their respective categories just to make sure nothing overwrites it. Same issue. No update when Eregor is killed. The only update I get is after reading the note in his inventory.

Update your version of OOO to 1.34, There are links to more current versions in the OOO 1.33 thread.

I patched my version with the 1.34 Beta5 version and now when the game loads, it tells me that it can't find the oscuro's_oblivion_overhaul.esm and then crashes. I'm looking for more information now to see what I need to do to correct it. The files are showing in the OMOD and within the data files of the game itself, so I'm not sure what exactly is happening.

I patched my version with the 1.34 Beta5 version and now when the game loads, it tells me that it can't find the oscuro's_oblivion_overhaul.esm and then crashes. I'm looking for more information now to see what I need to do to correct it. The files are showing in the OMOD and within the data files of the game itself, so I'm not sure what exactly is happening.



Update:

All is going well. After some digging online, I realized that I didn't have 1.33 installed, only 1.32Final. 1.33 is required before 1.34Beta will work properly. After OMODing 1.33, I loaded the game at Eregor, did a quick console summon and kill and got the full update that comes with his death. I am going to hold off loading 1.34Beta unless I encounter more issues.
