Game Issues and Abnormalities

Ive been playing a pretty heavily modded version of Oblivion and finally got a game that is pretty stable, lets me play for a long time without any CTDs and things are running all around better. Some of my only issues stem from having some out of date mods and a less than optimal FCOM installation but that is just temporary as I'm wary of switching my installation system from OBMM to BAIN, thus this isnt my thread to rant and rave about things being buggy or glitchy as the forums have helped me out enough in figuring out how to clean up my game so that it will run at 110%. However im still having some problems that I cant seem to pin down, Ive read the readme's for the files that I think are apart of it but am still lost. Ive included some screen shots and descriptions of what your looking at

http://www.flickr.com/photos/58887748@N08/5678091214/in/photostream#/photos/58887748@N08/5678091214/in/photostream/lightbox/ - This seems likes a simple case of a unique location in BC, acting poorly with Weather All Natural, it was taken near the prison camp in Cheydinhal, I suspect its because that area is supposed to look ominous and the sky just had trouble switching back to what it was supposed to look like. I waited an hour outside that area and it went back to normal.

My suspicions are that its a simple issue of a clipping type of thing as it occured again when i was looking in a barrel in cave and was posistioned at an odd angle.

Ive disabled the part of the patch that changes potion names but on a new game it still had the same potion names, its also doing so for scrolls.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/58887748@N08/5677535513/in/photostream#/photos/58887748@N08/5678130036/in/photostream/lightbox/- This is more of a sample screenshot, for one, the meat and pelt names are being altered by Wrye Bash which often leads to me having 4 different versions of the same type of meat or pelt. Also the Leatherworking Shears from MMM i believe are not the same as the basic shears i need for Craftybits. What my main issue with this is that i fear the specific features of mods are not going to work due to OBSE or the mod not recognizing the formid or the name of the item. For example none of the added meats will restore my hunger from my Realism mod, the Shears dont work for Craftybits, and the Metals and Pelts may have issues working with the crafting portion of mods. Also it confuses me because im not sure which item goes with which mod sometimes. I do believe hearign something about disabling the crafting part of MMM as it causes some issues.

Thanks for sticking with me, Im trying to get the BAIN process down and am reading up on proper FCOM installation techniques as well as how to utilitize Bashed Patches but since the games not crashing and i dont have the amount of time needed to do a full reinstall ive been doing what i can. Please help me however you can. There are also some issues i couldnt get screenshots of as for some reason they didnt save to my game folder but ill post those at a later date. Thank you.

I think the potion, spell, and staff renaming is also part of LAME, but Lame has a limited readme as far as what names it does change.
Mods not working cleanly together is a Cobl/FCOM issue, I think there is a patch for Craftybits and OOO/MMM, but I have not kept up the needed patches for CLS Craftybits. Until the new OOO/MMM/UFCOM/Cobl is released, I have to live with the multiple pelt issues between OOO and MMM myself.
For the shears issue you could rename the shears in the CS yourself, I have done this in the past for a similiar problem- you just add a CLS to one and an MMM to the other, you can make a single esp that adds the changes to both items.
Another option is just not using the Hunting and Crafting of MMM, it is a kind of Craftybits-lite.

Currently away from my compute right now, hopefully i can get on to upload that by 11 ish tonight.

But i know that the potions and scrolls are not a part of LAME because in the Bashed Patch menu it says something along the lines of Rename Potions- Use this if you want potions to be name X-Effect-# or something along those lines.

Forgot about Cobl's item interchange, for some reason when i rebuilt my game a few weeks ago i never activated the OMOD,going to see if that fixes some of the issues.

Edit: Ive got a overwhelming number of mods that may or may not be out of date, does Wrye Bash have a feature that lets you see which ones are at their current version. I also use BOSS (like any good mod user should) and it seems like that one is most likely to have that feature considering it uses an internet connection to update its masterlist.

Edit 2: Nope Cobl couldnt fix it, still getting the potion and poison names as if i had chosen the bashed patch renaming options as are the Bones, Pelts and Meats. I wouldnt mind the naming issues but my Shears for Crafybits arent working, and the make useful spell and hotkey dont react to it which makes me think something in the formid for all the Shears was overridden by MMM's crafting but i dont know.

Sorry for the late reply, I found a problem in my game and had been testing to see if I could fix it,
Cobl will need the MMM-Cobl 1.73.esp, which is available from the MMM release thread,and is the Cobl esp for an FCOM build, the OOO1.32-Cobl is an optional plugin. The information on updating Cobl is on the FCOM release thread. Once you get Cobl, and the Cobl plugins for the mods you have, You should have a common list of Alchemy ingredients meaning one type Boar Meat is harvested from every Boar in the game, and two kinds of pelts per animal at the most.
I hope this can fix your Crafty bits issue at least.

Yep, once i installed Cobl and the patches it seemed to solve the issue with having multiple ingredients. Also i picked some other options which will help optimize the use of both mods. Im going to use the MMM crafting mod alongside Craftybits for a little while to see if im going to miss anything by deactivating it, or if its as you said more like Craftybits Lite. Also i found the issue that was sorting some of the items strangely i had chosen import rational names, now my only issue seems to be some German named areas but that may be fixed by installing a new version of a mod or through patching. Next week when ive got more time to sit down and figure it out im going to reinstall FCOM and try to use BAIN so that i can update mods without breaking something as i hear OBMM has some issues with that.

Also Craftybit's is still having issues recognizing the shears, ill run some tests and see if deactiving MMM Crafting will help this or just use Crafty for the cooking, brewing and blacksmithing parts.

Well i deactivated MMM crafting and also reorganized my Bashed Patch but i still cant figure out why the Shears for Craftybits arent working while every other OBSE script is running fine. Perhaps OBMM already overwrote the formID so i cant fix that, damn i need to learn how to use BAIN
