Too many Dremora race mods

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 7:34 am

I'm looking to insert the Dremora into my lineup of playable races, which I've done in the past, but every time I seem to use a different mod. There are tons of them!

So I use Race Balancing Project, and I'm figuring on using Playable Creatures, Playable Goblins, The Centaur Project, and perhaps the Falmer and any other race that catches my eye.

So, out of pure curiosity, is there a mod that allows you to play a Dremora that stands out as being especially good? Any particular one that was memorable, or you had a good experience with? Most seem like carbon-copies to me. Any recommendations?

Try M.O.E. - Unlock Races or something like that its thePOSTALdude's mod
Honestly I wouldn't use RBP it looks all like its just a makeup mod the changes to the races.. I don't like that in fact I think they ruined everything. If I were you I would stick to the regular races + Dremora
I myself use COBL races and there you have Dremora.
You didn't want me to comment about RBP I was just giving you some advice I don't see a point for so many races its not like 10 races arent plenty
Good luck

There are the Player Character Sound Set mods that can give the player character a unique voice by Brucevayne, and one of the sound sets is for a Dremora.
Choose mods that complement a race you are going to play. A Dremora is immortal, they can die but will respawn - find a mod that does this for your Dremora character ( hint:Look in Cobl Docs ).
I used Cobl Races and switched to RBP because I wanted to play Integration, I would never go back to using just Cobl Races in a my game.

Yeah you have a point, that would probably be the only reason I ever wanted to play RBP. I decided I don't need that and after that I was thinking of making my own similar mod that won't require anything else except for Oblivion.esm

Thanks for the Sound Sets tip. I am aware of things like Wrye Shivering and Never Die, but I am not aware of any that affect only Dremora. I've always wanted something like this that affects the Xivilai, Aureals, Mazken, and Daedric Seducers of RBP, but I'm too unfamiliar with scripting to do anything about it.

I've looked at Postal's Playable Races and Beards by thePOSTALdude (if that was the one you were referring to?) and its seems alright, but I'm not feeling it as far as doing anything special with the Dremora race. It would be nice to see some unique abilities from the Dremora in such a mod. Extra and unique aesthetic options. Voices for females.

One mod that I've come across that adds Dremora is Better Looking Dremora, which is okay as far as aesthetics go.
