Sadly I don't have time now (til next weekend) to translate it, but maybe sombody else would like ... ?

Thanks for the link!

How should one translate "Himmelschreiend"? Thats not even german xD

Here some facts from the article:
- Dragon shouts are activated by pressing Q on the PC, the key is of course customizable
- The stronger the dragon shout (e.g. level 3 of one shout) the longer you have to wait until you can use it again
- menus: items and spells are shown in clearly arranged lists and you can bookmark them (that should be like a filter for your favorites or most used items/spells)
- 18 skills and skill trees with 12 to 20 perks each.
- the time you need in Oblivion to become level 25 is approximately the same as in Skyrim to become level 50.
- with detect life every living person in a certain area is covered in a blue aura.
- The exact translation is: The draugsr are climbing out of their resting places and attack the player. Could be misinterpreted because of the translation.
- Staff of Magelight shoots 'light balls' at enemies, which atmospherically illuminate the area.
- staffs are one handed weapons, so you can equip a staff and a sword
- main quest should take 20-30h, more than 200h additional stuff (<- exact translation, I guess they just mean side quests but maybe there's more to do?)
- DLCs should be less (in numbers) and include more content than in Fallout 3 (at least this is the opinion of Todd)

Todd Howard about MMO, I quote (translated):
"A few people think: It's big, it has swords, so it would be a good MMO.
But I'm not so sure about that. I personally prefer single player games.
I'm not so much into MMOs."
end of quotation

(...)
Here some facts from the article:
(...)

Altogether a very good translation and summary of the key parts of the article, imo.

I would just add:

- quest-destinations will be shown on the 3D-map with markers (sadly ! :( , but there's no hint, if this is optional, or not. :ermm: )
- there's a "system" called "walk and talk" by Todd which serves as an natural way of getting additional background-infos from NPCs (e.g. when a NPCs walks with you to the border of a town and gives you some additional infos regarding your active quest and its location)

and this ...
(...)
- The exact translation is: The draugsr are climbing out of their resting places and attack the player. Could be misinterpreted because of the translation.
(...)

... is not misinterpreted at all !

also:
(...)
- main quest should take 20-30h, more than 200h additional stuff (<- exact translation, I guess they just mean side quests but maybe there's more to do?)
(...)

Ofcourse there's more to do ! Like crafting and helping the NPCs with their daily work (e.g. wood-chopping, fishing, farming, etc.). - But the "exact translation" would be: ... about 200h optional stuff. ;)

And don't forget that you can have just random quests appear at cities!

Did they specifically say that we can fish?

Of course it is!
Usually it would translate to "outrageous" or maybe "blatant", but in this case it's more of a pun. Literally it means "screaming/crying out to the sky", so you should get the Skyrim reference ("Himmelsrand" in German).
So, "Himmelschreiend sch?n" means that Skyrim is so beautiful it makes you scream to the sky in excitement. :P

I read the article when it came out, but I didn't see anything new that wasn't covered in all the other articles.

Thank god. Maybe they saw our thread with "large expansion" having about 98% of the votes compared to smaller DLC!

No, they did not (in this article) ! But since it was stated somewhere else, that you can do everything that NPCs are doing and also it was confirmed, that there is fishing as daily duty for some of them ... I would believe it's almost certain.

Loosely translated (and without looking at the original article), it seems to mean "Sky shout". Possibly what the Dragon Shouts will be called in the German version?

Well, according to the article this is originated directly from Todd Howard. ;) Why shouldn't you / we believe it ? It's similar (with some progression and only for real fans, of course) to the amount of time which you easily could spend in Morrowind, Oblivion or Fallout3, imo. So, why shouldn't this be true ?
