What should we be expecting from E3 in June?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 4:55 am

I'm honestly hoping for a major demonstration of combat, exploration, and town life.

That's all I need.

This. The basics are good for now. Maybe a set of vids like Oblivion about five mins each detailing bits and pieces like combat, dialogue, exploration, dungeons and dragons. Excuse the nerdy pun.

just watched the trailer that are on these forums and todd says we can expect to see more on dragons, shouts, factions and a few other things.

this is what howard said

how much of that will actually be available for public view is still kind of a grey area. i heard their booth will still be for press only, but hopefully we get to see some gameplay of the things charon mentioned

Pete has said that their booth is "closed off", but "hopefully" they can show the public "something " around E3".

It will be closed off because it's invitation only. If they didn't have a closed event the sheer number of visitors to their booth would be overwhelming and the event would spiral out of control into a debacle of epic proportions. I just hope they do something like they have previously and allow a couple reporters to film some minutes of the demo and release it. I'd hate for it to produce nothing more than screenshots and written descriptions.

A small side quest walkthrough.

A dragon fight or two with the Nord mascot.

A couple of new race looks.

Actual game combat.

More spells.

I don't want to see anything from E3 as I've seen and read enough at this point. I want to buy Skyrim not knowing as much as you guys. :frog: I should stay off the Skyrim section untill 11, 11, 11.. *runs away*

Yea, I would be disappointed if we don't see any gameplay at, or around, E3.

Probably the same type of stuff Oblivion had...
You know, developer videos.

We'll be seeing more on dragons, dragonshouts, factions and mammoths...all confirmed so far.

Edit: ninja'd

I expect we'll see a demo [unplayable], with Todd or another developer giving some commentary. As others have said, they'll definitely talk about shouts (hopefully revealing a couple new ones, maybe showing them ingame) and factions. I think they'll also address the mounts situation; by then I think they'll have to know for sure whether or not horses will be in the game. Hopefully we also see some more spells and maybe a bit of sneaking as well, and maybe a new dungeon.
