The Elder Scrolls V is set in the lands of Skyrim, where the nords basically came from; Its supposed to be one of the first places that settlements began, (somewhat) and because of that there SHOULD / might be new creatures or existing creatures not put into the previous games that will enter at this point; My question is, do you think there WILL be new monsters, or they will just use the existing ones, and twist them just a little bit so that they can fit the region zone?

EX : -Imp changes to Frost Imp
- Wolf changes to Snow Wolf
- Troll changes to Frost Troll
- Skeleton changes to Chilled Skeleton

We don't know this for sure. This is only rumor.



The Nords are originally from Atmora, which is north of Skyrim. Skyrim is only where they settled in Tamriel.



There were already many settlements all over Tamriel, most of them being of Elven origin and some Nedic. Skyrim was only the first united kingdom of Men.

As for your question, I'm about 99.999% sure there will be at least some new creatures in TESV, wherever it may take place. It will probably be a mix of some new and some old creatures.

I thought this thread is about monsters not location.

Yeah I like to see new monster but related to TES. Even put from Morrowind and Oblivion. Thats all I have.

If they just put in different versions of existing monsters, (which they wouldn't), I wouldn't buy it.

Yes, of course I would like to see new enemies. And yes there will be new ones.

In a potential Skyrim game I would like to see creatures based mammoths and sabretooth cats and whatnot.
