"Short back and sides, please"

nope, meh

I rarely spend more than 5 minutes on my character's looks. Maybe change the hair a bit, that's it.

Should it be included? Meh, if it's easy and takes all of about 30 minutes to impliment, then sure

Name? Gender?! Aw, hell no. Hair and beard if even that.

Eh, howzabout the good ol' Girdle of Femininity ;)

Hair and BEARDS for sure. They could also change the player's body type (thin, muscled, bodybuilder) depending on the player's stre- errr ... well ..

Just haircuts at most, thanks.

(Although, I've rarely changed a haircut even in games that allow it. I usually get the one I want during character generation. :))

If we're gonna go that route, why not Race too? If magic gender changes can be rationalized (about the same as rationalizing "but teh Dwermer kud hav cre8ed teh gunzz lol!") then why not play part of the game as an Imperial then change that same character into an Argonian, right? :P

Pretty sure he was merely making a referential joke to Baldur's Gate :D

It would also be interesting to see a temporary disguise spell of some sort. Pin a murder on someone else...haunt somebody with the image of a dead relative. That sort of thing....they could even run a similar script as the Grey Fox in OB.

Would be nice if we could have the option to change everything except gender and race. I have been forced to start over many of my characters because I got the hair color or skin tone completely wrong. The light in the character creation menu was very different from the normal light in oblivion, which led to these mistakes.
In the dragon age two dlc the black emporium there was a magic mirror included, which gave the option to change the appearance anytime you wanted. Would like to see something like that for skyrim, cheesy or not its very handy for sure.

Would like to be able to change all aspects of my character other than six as it would be more immersion breaker than the others.

Yes.

Change your hair by visiting the barber/stylist.
Change your skin tone, facial structure and body shape by visiting a sorcerer.

I think changes in race and gender and perhaps even skin tone are things that NPCs should comment on, and the amount of effort it would take to integrate this into the game is disproportionate to what it's worth.

I say it would be nice to change the face afterward, Oblivion face editor was hard to use, it was just this year I managed to make a decent looking Khajiit.
In Fallout 3 you could change race and don't remember gender, however it was just cosmetic. In Skyrim race will affect stats and resistance so it would mess up to change it.

Everything except Race and Gender.

There's nothing worse than soon realizing after you've made a character that you should have given him another name, and that his skin tone should have been a bit lighter as an example.
I also imagine my character starting a "little bit" chubby, and then getting leaner as time goes by.

Maybe to hair/facial hair; but what about the Argonians, how would they go about changing their fins and horns.

I voted for yes and name and hair changeable.... but if there is a facial feature changerizermajiggydoodad if you use it then maybe NPC's might not recognize you and if you have a bounty on your head if you change your look the guards won't recognize you?

That would be cool.

Just sayin'

I chose most of the options, because I like options, even if I don't see my self using them right now. I probably will eventually.

I'd like the ability to change if the lighting in character creation is terrible again.
