Post » Fri May 27, 2011 4:14 pm

One of my recent posts was poll on what you thought was the best race... now i know that you have the ability to create custom classes... but i want to know what you think the best class is for whatever race your main character is... even if its a custom class... so heres another nosey question

The class with all the useful offensive and heavy armor skills. The best weapon skill is the long blade, because Beth REALLY has a huge liking towards swords.

My first character was a hybrid warrior/mage. Then I went on to make a pure mage, this suited me very well.

well, technecally it doesnt matter, since a knight with 100 in blade is the equivalent of a mage with 100 blade, but, well this isnt the ideas and suggestions topic...

i tend to stay more around the combat area, sometimes coming around the stealth department, and generally shying away from magic (though im not afraid to use it).

so id have to say knight, maybe warrior, with scout coming in behind with a close second, and mages, well, snailing, and turtling, and dragging behind with a third...

I enjoy hybrid classes.

Some variety of the Battlemage is my absolute favorite, and I usually train my Sneak and Illusion at the same time for the stealth oriented guilds. It's surprisingly easy to become a master of all trades using this approach, especially with high Luck.

i think a mage with swordplay skills comes out as the best as long as you have good conjuration skills you will be pretty good and can lv pretty fast if you know how to make spells efectivly...lol

Out of the stock-character classes, I think the nightblade is the most useful.

In my custom classes, I usually go with blade, alteration, light armor and sneak. It fits my style of gaming perfectly.

I think best class is really something that's determined for the situation, at least that's the way I would like it.

Nightblade for me, for gameplay and RP reasons, they dominate.

Otherwise, I'll just make a character major in skills that can be easily controlled, label him/her a Mercenary, and leave it at that.

I construct my class like this:

- Race is either Breton or Highelf. Thats important because they're into magic.

- Specialization is Magic for fast leveling of it.

- Special Attributes are Endurance and Luck.

- Skills are all from Thievery and Combat, never from Magic.

This allows to archieve maxlevel. First thing to level is always END until its maxed. This gives you extra HP.

But seriously, the hassles of the rulesystem are just not worth it. I rather use the console to level up, then look for a really nice looking equipment so I'm not running around completely naked. That way I dont have to hassle with the rulesystem at all.

I always play as an assassin and it suits me fine.

EDIT: not the pre-made assassin class. A custom made one but I forgot what I called it.

I seem to make a warrior-type character every time. Whether it's a knight, barbarian, crusader, paladin ect. varies. Have nothing against the other classes I'm just not comfertable playing them. There is no problem that can't be solved with steel. And maybe a silver dagger for the etherals

I always make my character one of the pre-set knight class. It's a good class.

My very first character class i created was a class already set in the game. As time went on, i completed each guild and i noticed my character has become most efficient in Stealth/Marksman. Ever since, i've revolved my character around those traits. After a few long weeks of roleplaying, i decided to make a secondary character as a full on mage. (didn't like it much.)
I am currently going to redo my main and start fresh. Customize my class around the art of "Archery" and the invisibility of an "Assassin". Best class for the most dramatic roleplaying...
