Nighteye...

I love night-eye...there are times that it just becomes invaluable. And I love playing my Khajiit characters and having almost instinctive low light vision....

What I didn't love in OB about it however was the greyscale no depth blue layer it created. When I play my vamp assassin in it, I almost don't like moving while my night eye is on because I can't tell what is shadow and what is not...I would love to see this visually revamped so that instead of some filter layer of the screen, when you use it it just slides the contrast a bit, draws back shadows, or something along these lines...

Post your thoughts on this and any other visual or audio alterations you would like to see with spell effects in Skyrim.

I liked the blue night vision like filter.maybe a tiny, tiny bit of edge blurring too. It has to have atleast 1 drawback. ( opinion)

Why? It is a special Khajiit ability so they shouldn't suffer a drawback necessarily, and as far as the spell goes, well, your drawback is the time it last vs. your skill rating.

I think night eye in Skyrim shouldn't be blue like in Oblivion. I hated it.
I think that if you choose Khajiit as your race, the night eye ability should be automatic, not as a spell you need to cast.

Maybe only real darkness in caves can trigger it, or just in caves, since it would be annoying to travel at night and only see things in night vision. Would make things less spooky.

I dont see it much as a drawback. It just looks cooler to me than just instant lighting.

Should there be shadows when using night vision? I think they should be reduced or turned off.
