Dont worry, with all the in-game spells, you'll be able to set them on fire yourself.

Just kiddin', I love Argonians. :foodndrink:

the funny thing is orcs are mer

That's why I said it...
On Topic though, I can't imagine that kahjits won't have racial bonuses, without racial bonuses what's the point besides personal preference?

Aren't the Khajittens mentioned in a few sources to appear as ordinary house cats? And at a certain point aren't they mentioned as being able interbreed between all the different Khajitti forms? Seems like it could be a fun in joke to have one of the Alfiq and Cathay-Raht have kittens together. (Maiq's wife? roflmao.)

LOL mate, you do realise that most of the threads here are "Unofficial", you don't have to prefix your thread title with that.

This.

not saying they cant but how will they get a advantage to start... there cats they jump higher then eric blood axe... i dont know much about perks but could they be racial?

http://uk.ign.com/videos/2011/04/25/skyrim-the-elder-scrolls-evolved-video suggests as much. Perhaps not perks, BUT races will have distinctly different abilities.

They'll start off with inherent advantages, Todd has confirmed. Anyone saying otherwise is uninformed =)

On topic: the Khajiit looking [censored] awesome. Orcs (though not a beast race, I know) are also looking stellar.

The Argonian concept art was really intriguing...I look forward to seeing the real thing (E3?).

Edit: fixed link

Any chance that when I'm playing an Argonian I can choose a different clan/sub-type? I want to see what a Sarpa or Nagas looks like.

It's the skeletal structure that I'm talking about. When cats are standing erect they look nothing like what they did in Oblivion. Their joints don't allow for a complete extension like us. And then the Argonian race Shouldn't even be able to stand because of how their backs are so elongated. But maybe I'm just taking it a little too far with the anatomy of earth. This is after all a fantasy world.

The Khajiit are a feline race, but that doesn't mean they all have the skeletal structure of real cats. If you want to talk anatomy, digitigrade feet would be horrible for a bipedal creature. A more sensible (biologically) anatomy would be like in Oblivion but with hand-paws and hand-feet instead of spray painted human hands and feet like in Oblivion.

For the Argonians I'm not sure, but I liked the concept art. I'm personally hoping the Khajiit don't have freaky legs. I know some like it, and I know it's fantasy so skeletal structure isn't important, but they are so goofy looking and structurally unsound in Morrowind I hope they don't go that route.

I also hope they get the tails right, though most professional artists don't mess that one up. The tail extends from the end of the spine.

And yet the most dominant things on this planet seemed to do fine with them :whistling:

Not likely. I expect that "10 races, just like the last 2 games" almost certainly means 1 type of Argonians and 1 type of Khajiit.

But I want my eight foot snake Argonian with fangs and my winged Argonian!

Yes, thank goodness I'm not the only one who thinks like that. Cats (and a lot of other animals) in our world are digitigrade because it allows for more efficient movement as a quadruped, had cats evolved as bipedal they would not be digitigrade, their feet would be flatter to the ground with their heels (hocks) making contact with the ground for better strength and balance in a bipedal stance, and their knees wouldn't be right up against their body, they'd be around about where our knees are.

When it comes to Argonians, a lot of quadrupedal reptiles are not digitigrade anyway (their entire foot for the back legs is flat on the floor most of the time), and the bone structure and points where muscles attached onto the bones in bipedal dinosaurs also show that they walked with their foot fairly flat to the ground.

ie. no bipedal beast race ought to have it's hocks (the equivalent of our heels) halfway up its legs, if they had developed as bipedal they would walk with their feet flat and heels down.

Unless we can not kill ourselves for the next few hundred million years (which we will :flame: ), they'll still have the lead

I was hoping the fact that I said "seemed" would tip you off
