Character builder?

Right, simple question: Is there any mod that allowed you to create a pre-leveled character fitting for any chosen RP start? I'm sure there wont be such a mod that is compatible with all the leveling mods out there, etc.

So, is there?

Not aware of any mod like this. I think what most people do is download a saved character made by someone else, and tweak it.

I looked for one of these as well and no. There is a mod that allows you to change your appearance mid-game but that's about it.

The easiest method I have found is a combination of the Realistic Levelling Mod, the Fast levelling mod (5x multiplier) and the console command advskill.

I run a character through the start dungeon then choose how I want to look and my base class. (With the no tutorial scripts mod on) From there I'd work out on paper how far I want to level a RP character. For roughly level 5 I'd add 50 points to primary skills and 50 points to secondary. Using a basic method of +5 or +10 for each skill. Then level each 1by1 being sure to advance by 1 skill point at a time so as to gain any perks ("advskill blade 1" x5).

The realistic levelling mod takes care of the main stat allocation and fast tracks to your final level achieved with your total skill points. (so no level 1, 2, 3, dialogues)
I'd then give myself 12k of gold or so to buy some basic kit from the Imperial Markets. (For a jump to level 5 you basically skip iron tier in HeavyArmor for example.)

It would be nice if there was a RP Character creator. Though it would be nice if you could still play through the start. (even if it was a flashback)

A good combo would be a clean http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/442-harry-pogue-nord-vanilla-tutorial-end/ you can edit, with my http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/667-classed-beginnings/ which give RP characters a jumpstart with RP gear based on class, and http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13783 which will allow you to adjust your levels as you see fit. There is currently a conflict between classed beginnings and Levelers shack, but since they are the ideal starter pack, I'm patching it. Should be releasing the patch today or tomorrow. :)

I normally use the alternate start mod http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23757, it provides a non-prison start to the MQ through doing Kvatch and also provides a bit of character customization before you start playing. You can change your level to around 20 I think, though you will be leveled like the NPCs are through major and minor skills depending on class. Also, you can choose a horse to start out with, which houses you already own, what guilds you're a member of (start as an associate only though), and what start location you want, and what your status is (determines clothing and starting gold). You can also go through the normal prison MQ trigger by being thrown in the Imperial Prison instead of normal prison-time. Only downside is you might not get all the skills you would've leveled (unless you have a leveling mod which allows you to respec like http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35333 and you won't get the equipment for your level right away after creation.

I normally start my characters around level 5 now for a bit of a head start, and if I'm playing a morally good character and don't want to go through the prison ordeal, I'll just do Kvatch whenever I want and Jauffre contacts you about the MQ. I use Oblivion XP and its entirely compatible, with its respec after character creation, I can reassign whatever points the leveling system gave me to what I want!

Hope this helps!
