It'll support DX11 but not to its full extent.

Why apologize for asking a repeated question when a simple forum search would give you the information you're looking for?

Anyway, DX11 features don't seem to be in. It's primarily DX9, but it will be supported by DX11. Take that as you will. Look around, check the info compendium, etc., for more information.

This, fixed, w/e the heck it means to 'support dx11' is up for interpretation it seems. We'll have to wait for a release to actually find out to what extent. So noone know! :obliviongate:

Most likely it will take advantage of DX11's improved efficiencies, but it won't be using any DX11 shaders. Those will all still be DX9 ones.

This is what I think, though some people disagree with us. I dont care to dig up my explanation on why I think this though so :whistling:

If it is as I, and other, suspect, that would require writing a bunch of new shaders for it first and that is a bit of a Herculean feat.

Don't expect that to happen for several years, IF that happens at all. Modders have to hack DX features in. With a new engine, that even lowers the chances, as it will be so much new for modders to learn and understand differently than before.

Most likely, modders will never be able to take advantage of DX11 features. It's really hard, takes huge amount of time and dedication. Very very few people know how as well.

The modders have even spoken themselves in a few threads here. This something Bethesda has to do from the start. Don't expect modders to do it for Skyrim.

Most likely, if we don't get any DX11 features from the start, we never will.
