Oblivion Xbox 360 Mod

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 1:39 am

Its no secret that you can transfer PC saves to Xbox 360 format. One way that I have found is to swap out the gamedata.dat

(It is even mentioned in a UESP.net article)

But, the Xbox 360 cannot run custom meshes or textures. But if I were to transfer a game with a custom axe, that had the same meshes and texture as a regular ebony war axe for example, but with different stats. Would it run?

Looking forward to a response, Deagonx.

Im gonne say "no".

Since the answer is always "no" in these threads.
Either because it is illegal, or impossible, or impossible without illegal actions.

Sorry.

I don't think it would because the axe in the save would just be a RefID corresponding to the mod it's in.

If I were modding the actual Xbox, or modding a save in a multiplayer game. I'm sure microsoft would have some objections to it.

This requires no changes in the system, and runs naturally with the Xbox.

This theory of mine was brought up,. because I used an Oblivion Save download with mods like these. And had some very custom items in it, things that weren't generally available in the game and had custom enchantments.

That is why I brought it up.

Exactly. Console modding is not a topic that is up for discussion here.
