Can mods be installed with Oblivion Steam ?

Im thinking of buying Oblivion threw Steam but i first wanted to know if mods can be applied anyway ?

yes. My current version of Oblivion is Steam-based. Ran FCOM on it without any problems. Just remember after updating or downloading the game completely (reverify cache just in case), turn off Steam's option to always autoupdate your game. IT could cause some wonky behavior regarding mods and using archive invalidation.

I left it on and so far, it hasn't broken any mods. Archive invalidation works fine for me, but I may have timestamped when I first switched to Steam, can't remember now. It did once repair the launcher. If you unpack your bsas, definitely would want to leave it off.

The only difference is you have to use the .dll version of OBSE, which means leaving the in-game steam community thingy enabled.
