Alive Waters Help

I have Alive Waters installed and all the fish are there and the seaweed works and I think I've seen a few new shipwrecks buttttt

The fish very rarely appear, and when they do they arn't very active. For example there are at most 3 koi in the little ponds in the city but they don't move at all they just sit there. Some fish will move but just a little wriggle and that's it. I see small mudcrabs a few times who walk around normally. I know some parts are working though, because I also see the Slaughterfish with the new animations.

I've tried reinstalling with BAIN and manual installing but it still happens.

Help would be really appreciated please, I couldn't find an AliveWaters thread so sorry if this is in the wrong place.

It sounds like you might just be having bad luck. The fish are pretty fast and disappear when they meet with the surface of the water, so you might just be scaring them off before you notice. If you don't think that's the case, take a look at http://youtu.be/EZrwHYhy0jM of how Alive Waters looks in my game and compare the movement of the fish with what you've been seeing. If you still think there's a problem, maybe there's some sort of incompatibility with another mod in your load order.

Alive Waters actually only adds a small number of fish. There is two main plugins that you can use with Alive Waters to change this; the fish plugin for MMM orhttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30260.

Thanks that helped quite a bit. I'm using Fish!

My Koi are still dead weights though, any reason what might be causing that? The other fish are fine it's just the Koi in the city ponds.

I'm not sure if its the lack of any AI or something else causing them to stay still. It wouldn't be hard to find out.

I remember being overjoyed when I first saw them when I installed Alive Waters in September '09, but yeah, after a while their inactivity begins to seem like a bit of a bummer.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30260 The fish are very fast and can be hard to track but it does make a huge difference. Worth swimming now. The OMOD contains all the fixes, which is nice.

I personally had a problem with NPC pathing near water when using Fish!. Might want to watch for that too if you use it.

Ok so I guess I was mistaken I've just been unlucky and the Koi are always lacking in AI right?

Before we put this to a close, does anyone know of a Koi addon that does have AI? Or would it be simple to add the AI of the normal fish to the Koi?

Before we put this to a close, does anyone know of a Koi addon that does have AI? Or would it be simple to add the AI of the normal fish to the Koi?

The Koi in my game didn't move much either. I think the problem was limited space for the pathing.
