Yes. It should be like Amnesia...but not as...scary.

I loved in morrowind being able to light my house with all of the different options. I remember when I was looking for the perfect lantern to put next to my daedric helms that I had meticulously collected. (I had all 3) I eventually came across two red lamps, the only red lamps I had ever seen in the game and my mind was blown. I was ecstatic. I slaughtered a whole village because I wasn't very sneaky, but damn, I wanted those lamps.

In oblivion... well, that just didn't happen. I really hope they have a variety of lighting and not just the standard BS 'torch'.

I did kinda miss being able to collect torches in Morrowind.

I'd like to have those. Torches are okay but don't have quite the same style as a lamp or a single candle, preferably glowing in some unlikely arcane color. Maybe enchant them to shoot fire or something.

In the old days of Ultima Online one of my characters wore studded leather, a bandana, sandals, a half-apron, and always carried a lantern. When Age of Shadows (an expansion pack) hit bringing a new item attribute called "Spell Channeling", during one of the Halloween events a number of Spell Channeling lanterns were handed out and I promptly gave one to my Mage so it wouldn't drop when I casted.

The idea of doing this in Skyrim is making me all nostalga-y. I hope lanterns are in, now. :D
