[RELz] Idle Dialogues - English Version

Post » Tue Mar 29, 2011 11:12 pm

Translated from the French mod of the same name by http://forum.wiwiland.net/index.php?/topic/50352-correctifsidles/
Requires http://obse.silverlock.org/

This ESP Patch allows the NPCs to say their Idle Dialogue lines when they don't have anything in particular to do.
Like in Morrowind, idle NPCs will mutter to themselves.

These lines are present in Oblivion's main file and the voice files are present, but the game never calls them. This patch fixes that.
It provides some funny lines from some NPCs such as :

"All I wanted was a hug." - Wood Elf

"A strong post to sharpen my claws - That's what I need." - Khajiit

"Snow. We need more snow. Can't have enough snow." - Nord

All the credits goes to Shadow She-Wolf. I only translated the readme. ;)

Sounds cool. I wasn't aware there was that much unused stuff.

And we didn't notice this for this long?

:obliviongate:

I'll have to check this out sometime. I do kinda miss the random mutterings NPCs made to themselves occasionally in Morrowind.

Cool. I also liked the mutterings from NPC's in Morrowind so I'll definitely add this.

It's great that everyone loves it. Some of the new lines are very funny.

Sounds cool. I wasn't aware there was that much unused stuff.

Last year, while wandering around Oblivion.esm I had found those idle Lines. Under the "Misc" tab. I then found out the lines were already recorded and included in the game. But I never found a way to make them work.
Thanks to Shadow and OBSE, it's possible now. :)

Another amazing immersion experience from you, Cliffworms!

All credits go to Shadow. I only translated the readme.

Could you slow down the rate of mutterings? I was testing it in the Wawnet Inn and Rowley Eardwulf was very talkative to himself.
