From various mods, I have built up an ini folder located in my data folder. Is that the correct location? Or am I supposed to take those ini files and add them to the Mygames/ini folder...where other ini stuff is for the game?

AND, AN UNRELATED QUESTION...

I am using the Darn 1.3.2 mod, and I was thinking of adding Elsweyr to my game. How exactly am I supposed to add it, so the world map lines up to the Darn 1.3.2 Cyrodiil map?

Yes, Data\Ini is the folder where most mods dump their .ini, no problem there. Some mods also put their .ini directly in the Data folder. As for Elsweyr, just install one of the compatible map replacer mods like http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28432, for example.

What omeletted answered. All my mods look for their ini files in the data\ini folder and will stop working if you move it elsewhere.

I will reccomend my http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35969 mod. It comes with 4 different base map styles, and will automatically display Elsweyr on the map if you have Elsweyr active in your load order - and it does similar for a number of other mods that should be visible on the world map. And it gives you free zoom in/out in the world map as a bonus :)

(and it is of course compatible with Darn).

Did you by chance happen to choose the tamriel heightmaps map and not have tamriel heightmaps installed or vice versa

Have you followed my advice and installed Dynamic Map and asks about that? If so, it's all explained in the documentation and ini file. If not, what do you mean by the map not being in right scale? To small/large for your taste, or that the map markers are off?

Yes I installed Dynamic Map. The city/dungeon/etc. icons are way to the west of where they should be. I think this is because the map is now TOO BIG...how do I get it to the right size?

NEVERMIND! I have it working correctly now. But a quick question...when I finally get around to DLing Elswyer...will it fit on correctly, or do I have to add a different mod?

Dynamic Map will detect that Elsweyr is active in your load order, and then automatically display it on your world map, without you having to do anything :)

Not all the map styles support all mods, but the read me has a list of which mods that are supported by which map style, and if supported, the map will automatically display the new landscape when you add a mod. And I think all of them support Elswyer.

What he means is that because of the new map additions, the icons have been shifted left. Don't you have to set the .esp (I don't use Dynamic Map so I don't know if it uses an .esp) all the way at the bottom of your load order so that the icons remain where they should be? I use Merged Maps and if I don't have the .esp loading dead last, the icons get shifted.

Edit: It will automatically detect it, but will it also shift the icons? (Dynamic Map Mod)

With Dynamic Map, you don't need any special esp to handle the dimensions. Dynamic Map handles that by scripting due to the power of MenuQue. So if you add Strik to your load order, Dynamic Map will detect that, add Stirk to the west of your map and adjust the map coordinates accordingly, thus getting all markers in the correct position - all without you having to do anything (besides installing Strik).
