Zomg! Look at the lighting and tree textures!

Seriously though Bethesda, you are obligated to make it look least that good, considering that's a quick map made by one guy for a game that came out in 2007. Miniguns optional, Beth. Yes, I know you have the assets to put a minigun in Skyrim, but please don't. Also dragons.

Unfortunately, they've already stated that they're not using DX11 features, so none of it's improved lighting or tessellation or the other goodies it brings to the table that may have been used in that video.

seems to be a lot of these threads today.

That video don't like my machine. It doesn't do anything but buffer.

What I can see of it looks pretty blurry, but since it won't load in HD I can't say how good or bad it really is.

Made this with Sandbox 2 using the Europe Nature Pack to see if I could make an environment somewhat similar to the one shown in Skyrim (level can be uploaded if requested). Captured the footage with the editors own frame capture function and the rest with fraps. Edited the video in Virtualdub and Windows movie maker.

Admittedly amusing video though, and you can't go wrong with Morrowind + Motorhead.

Skyrim already looks better than this on Xbox 360, if only due to its art style and world design.

I'm a console gamer (I know shun!) but I think Bethesda should at least consider it as a later patch option. I suppose by putting in all that effort they wouldn't get enough money to warrant the effort, from a business standpoint I guess it makes sense.
