Four years ago I would know this easily and laugh at anyone asking this So... I have downloaded a few mods, the official ones, and the MCP and MPP.
But I am not sure on how to unzip them, I know to place them into the data files, but there is already folders with the names of the unzipped folders? Which will be replaced if I copy the 'firemoth', for example, folders into it.
